The 20 Most Depressing Town Centres to Live

Aberdeen must only be on that list because of the doomed up North East folk heading back to work. Union Street is not like it was, but there’s still plenty of decent places in Aberdeen city centre. It’s not Edinburgh for certain, but not as bad to make that list.

I agree. The list is journalistic garbage.
 
I have never heard of Medehamstede. I looked it up on Google maps and it seems to be a hotel on the Isle of Wight.

Just googled it, it was the name for Peterborough in the Anglo Saxon period. The list must have been conceived by somebody who has an axe to grind for the place.

Another way to look at it is that even in the "most depressing town" in the country over 95% of residents don't think it is depressing and the majority on that list is 98%+. There is always going to be a town that is at the top of that list but if over 95% of people living there are happy with it then it doesn't make as good of a clickbait headline.

Yes, I hate this sort of thing, looking down your nose at where other people live and work. And that song they sing. I mean I really admire you putting yourself through all this to keep your loyalty points up, but if it really is so bad that you want to go home, then **** off now, no one is stopping you.
