Thanks for that hugill mate

Must say, as dirty and Northern League as Hughill was today I think his injuring of Isaiah was an accident, not the foul but the outcome, he did apologise.

Can’t believe hugill who is one of our own and supports Boro blatantly took jones out and ruined his chance of playing on Tuesday. He was even having a go at fry during game. The ref was shocking should’ve booked him and nipped it in the bud. The officials today cost Boro a perfectly good winning goal. 😡

Wanted him to do well when he was here.. thought he let himself down with his constant shythousery.. the profit from the bamford sale paid for his loan fee.. Tony Pulis man.. pure

He never intended for him to get injured but his actions were stupid and reckless as were the referee’s in ignoring it.

We shouldn't blame Hugill, but we should blame the referee for not booking him. It was a cynical, needless foul and deserved a card. That he didn't get one set the tone for the game.

On a day when we didn't have the second leg of a semi, we would have matched their play, but the players wouldn't do that, other than greenwood.

Their keeper should have been booked for a reckless challenge that would have curtailed his time wasting.

Greenwood, I think, was dragged back for a penalty that the ref waved away.

At no point, passed the coin toss, did the ref have control of that game, the worst referee at the worst possible time.

His technique is very poor for a pro at championship level. He's done incredibly to have the career he has, largely based on being stronger than average.

even for us his game seemed to consist of wrestling with centre backs, throwing himself to the ground and kicking the ball straight at the keeper.

he plays the way he does because he doesnt have the ability to affect the game in any other way. Its pathetic. But if hes lucky enough to get a spineless ref then he's a nuisance. Our usual luck that that's exactly what we had.

be no loss to the sport when he finally packs it in.

He needs to bee on his knees praying for a miracle Boro win Tuesday, because if not, he'll be blamed, and whenever he walks the streets of his hometown, he'll get pelters

Tbh I've always liked RUFC. But their approach yesterday (time wasting, pushing, moaning, diving) was appalling right from ko.
Hugill. Disgusting. As a Boro lad and fan I can't comprehend what he was thinking acting up all game, and the foul on Izzy, well don't ever come back near Teesside son.

Firmly wishing them all the bad luck that they are due.

He was constantly two handed pushing players in the back and launching into headers he had no chance of winning. There are provisions within the rules to stop this - the ref chose not to apply them.

Hugill is an absolute cart horse of a footballer.

It was my first game for a while yesterday, and I was honestly wondering if they'd changed the rules over the last couple of months when I saw the way Rotherham (not just Hugill) approached the opposition 😀 I reckon I could have been a contender if I'd been able to get away with 2 handed shoves in the back of a player who'd been skilful enough to get past me. And I haven't sought out a replay, but their keeper made a totally uncontrolled challenge out of his area at one point and I confidently announced 'that's a yellow' only to be told that as he got the ball first it was OK! He had no idea if he was gonna get the ball when he launched himself but, hey ho I live and learn😀 Would have helped enormously if we'd have decided that showing Chelsea we could play exactly like them (round in a horseshoe and back again) was only required for part of the game and not all of it but credit to Rotherham for how committed they were to blocking everything and timewasting, fickle as I am i'll be cheering us to the rafters for doing the same on Tuesday night 😂
