Tesco Coulby. No Broccoli whatsoever

Jesus Christ guys, give it a rest. You both disagree on Brexit, we get it.

Anyone got any broccoli?
It’s not so much the disagreement mate. It’s the fact that he blindly defends Brexit whilst simultaneously admitting or ignoring the problems it’s already caused. It’s like banging your head against a brick wall and it’s helping highlight why brexiteers deserve to be mocked. I don’t mind people having differences of opinion but I won’t stand for people ignoring facts or dismissing them because they don’t affect him. He is helping me further my cause about identifying how stupid Brexit is but it’s making him look stupid

He clearly pays no attention to facts or logic. Just use the ignore function.

I don't like doing that. I just get so frustrated with people being so ignorant. But I think I'll have no choice.

Trying to get him to actually understand brexit is like trying to teach a border collie to speak Norwegian. I don't mind people going "look its not my field, I didn't understand that". Its blindly ignoring actually facts that is frustrating. How do you deal with that? It's like talking to Donald Trump

😂 😂

Please ignore... It means I won't have to suffer anymore of your jokes.

Hoepfully, NYB will do the same if thats how he feels.

It must be awful when Brexit is like a disability that you can't escape from 😂

You both need to get over it 😘

See what we mean? Brexiteers can only say things like "get over it". They can't keep with the real world and the damage it is causing. They have no answer to facts which is why poor pathetic chris has to rely on insults, deflection and outright denial. If he wasn't celebrate such damage to my country I'd almost pity someone as ignorant and lacking the intelligence to argue his point correctly. I don't though.

If he chooses to defend Brexit, then thats his choice. Calling him thick and mocking him does nobody any favours. He most likely feels the same way about you and how you say Brexit is stupid. Everyone has an opinion. Frankly, I agree with parts of both your arguments.

With Chris, yes doing things is a bit harder, but no impossible. You want to go abroad, using an example you yourself stated a couple of pages back, now you have to apply for a visa first. Ok, thats what we did before we joined the EU and is the same process we have for the rest of the world, so its not an unknown process, it just now applies to an area we previously had free movement in.

With you, yes its been a ***show and none of us who voted for Brexit or the Tories ever imagined it would be so badly handled.

What I disagree with both of you on is the generalisations.

Because one person on here that you @SmallTown disagree with @ChrisTheRed , all Brexiteers deserve to be mocked.

That just makes you look as petty as you claim Chris is being. First and foremost, we are here as Boro fans so can we please just accept we have different opinions about a lot more than just football. Repeating the same thing, Brexiteers are morons, Remoaners etc, we've heard it all before and its getting tiresome and puts me off wanting to come on the board.

You want to direct your ire somewhere, go contact your politician and repeatedly make your distaste known for how UK leaders handled Brexit, give honest appraisals of MP performances, use theyworkforyou.com to see how your MP votes on issues and see if it matches your own perspective. There is lots that can be done to show you don't like how this has been handled. By ranting and raving at each other, we give government a free pass to continue to be **** because we ourselves can't find a common consensus on what we want.

No you're misunderstanding why I'm laughing at @ChrisTheRed . I don't mind anyone defending their corner. I despise brexiteers but will happily listen to reason from them. The problem with Chris (and I lump him in with other brexiteers because he's not the first to act like this). The problem I have with people like chris is tat he can't defend brexit and I think deep down he knows that. My frustrations are with anyone who has a stance but as soon as you question it, has stance just collapses. Plenty have people have told him ways in which Brexit has already made the country worse. For each one he has either denied it (even though some are fact and some are even LAW) which I hate because modern political discussion can seemingly be ended just by shouting fake news. Or he has said he doesn't care because it doesn't affect him, which I hate because it's selfish or he just insults or discredits whoever makes the point, which isn't arguing your case at all. The frustration is, and why people like him ARE being thick and ignorant, that I can see the damage that brexit has already done and am predicting much worse. When people like him can't defend it but still support it they are worthy of derision. You can't have an opinion on such a momentous decision without being able to back it up. A fair few brexiteers are EXACTLY that. that's why I scorn and mock Chris, he deserves it. He can't even show the slightest, tiniest humility. Like: when I said that it's adding paperwork to slow down trade (which is a fact) he chose to say he doesn't care as it doesn't affect him (it does, actually but that's a different matter). Why couldn't he turn round and say "yes but our EU fees far outweigh what we receive in subsidies, that might offset the costs" or "not being answerable to the European parliament or the ECJ is removing bureaucracy in other areas so on balance I believe we are better off out" It's not an argument if only one side present the argument and the other side just says "you're wrong, or you're lying, or you don't live here". Brexit is a disgusting mess and I despise those who have brought it on us. I will always mock, insult and attack those who defend it without being able to explain why.

Oh and I have spoken to my MP about brexit. Given she lost her shadow cabinet job once for her stance on brexit she's definitely on the correct side.

You keep Saying I'm a Brexiteer.

You don't know what I am.

I am someone that has accepted what is happening and can with it.

You're the one twisting over it.

What you need to realise is that I'm actually not really bothered one way or another.

I just live and move on. Bigger fish to fry

Fantastic post mate. Unfortunately as you will see by his reply ST has just tried to continue the argument as he always does. I do tend to agree with Chris that it is growing tiresome and if it was from say a poster with right leaning views it would be called trolling no two ways about it.

He rarely posts on anything but posts about Brexit. I have said many a time the one thing that unites everyone here is being a boro fan... some would rather look past that point and look at political/brexit opinion before that.... which is sad

What do you mean when you say 'badly handled'?

You have surely at least got the outcome you voted for, or at least something thereabouts, given it's impossible to get everything you want in negotiations?

If you go through my comment history, you'll see I deeply regret the vote I made as a whimsy. I have to live with it, but I was an idiot who voted without thinking.

Ok, I don't really keep track of people's views over time, preferring to just respond to their position on each thread, so wasn't aware of that. Kudos to you for having the courage to acknowledge a mistake. I'd like to think I would, but on a different topic I could well be far too invested, stubborn and biased to be able to, even when evidence mounted.

What I was mainly wondering was whether it was the way it was all rushed at the end, so lorry parks aren't ready, customs officers are not recruited or trained, businesses were given 3 and a half years of complete uncertainty, about a year of some general likelihoods, but only actually less than one actual week of concrete details on tariffs, supply chain issues and non-tariff barriers to trade.

Maybe some of the other leave voters have a view?

I had to go round 4 supermarkets to find blueberries - not happy and very panicking for me as i have 80-100g every morning with my cereal 🤓

More the half arsed process from vote outcome to now. Wasn't one second of it where I thought, 'yeah, this could work', once I saw all the infighting and ministers from the past such as David Davis saying, yeah oven ready blah blah blah. Knew then we were on to a hiding.
