Signs of Brexit begin. Young Daughters favourite vegetable.
Never ever seen that before: shelves totally empty.
Seen a couple of blue passports though so I might get one next week 👍

Village idiots

Plenty of my way. Just literally been shopping and it was on the list.

Maybe have a word with your local store manager and ask they up their order. I’m sure its been a contentious issue all day at Coulby Tesco 🤣

Why did people have their passports out in Tesco? They have got them quick we only left 3 days ago

People waving triumphantly around their beautiful blue passports. Looked great 👍
Village idiot qualification number 3 👍

No broccoli? Don't sweat the small stuff. It's the slow, inexorable destruction of what remains of British manufacturing industry we need to worry about. At which point the 'disenchanted' who voted for this dead end will realise they've been had.

They'll blame the unions as usual.

Now THIS is a sign of Brexit, Some EU companies are no longer sending goods to the UK because of increased costs caused by Brexit.
Scandinavian Outdoor have stopped sending goods to the UK
Fedex/TNT, UPS and DHL have increased their charges for mail and goods coming from and going to the EU.

EU share trading flee London on first day of Brexit.(Sorry, behind a paywall that I have no access to)

Oh for the love of God... There is no broccoli on the shelf... How will you ever survive.

Do you need to talk about it?

Did you notice if the French, Spanish and Italian wines had gone yet?

Cost of freighting from France to England has shot up in the last few days - I suspect covid testing, extra paperwork, extra time required has pushed costs up and maybe some drivers are reluctant to come to the UK with the risk of long delays. Once things have settled down the cost will come down again.

As far as I know there are no large queues of lorries coming in or out of the UK.
