Dael over Clarke for me, Clarke gives me palpitations every time he's on the ball

He is a bit slow on the ball but he hasn’t played football for a long period I’m convinced now he’s gonna step it up now and be quicker with it now he’s had minutes. He never really lost it though apart from once he’s actually very good on the ball is Clarke and I think the nature of VDB and Clarke is a very good balance.

theres not a lot of wiggle room with the current availability ,,, Coburns nursing a hernia so wont start for sure ... think he will go for the same team except Jones in for Greenwood ... hope the gell better on Weds

Your first few words tell you why Fry should be in over Clarke. For me, Clarke is and will only be a squad player, he didn't set the world alight before his injury and he's not going to now he's returned.
He's our biggest goal and assist contributor to be fair he does have composure to find the final pass or hit the net when he gets the chance

Not only has he been one of our better players prior to the Ipswich game (when no one came out looking good), we are down to the bare bones and need every experienced player.

He takes far too many touches and gives the ball away far too much. For a professional footballer who made it to a good level as a central midfielder, his passing is also shocking, yet people criticise Barlaser for his passing.
I read an article about Scott McTominay in the Athletic after the Chelsea game last week by one of the Manchester United writers. It argued that yeah he contributes goals and assists but his general play massively effects the overall quality of the team. I feel that we are at that point with Crooks.

Because he's better than the other players available. Even if everyone is available he probably plays in the no10 role. That shows the standard of the squad. Plan B last season. First team this season.
He looks unorthodox but he has a nack of creating and scoring goals. Also high workrate which the other options in that position don't possess. Take him out the team and we will struggle more than we already are.

Think the above team pretty much picks itself.
Clarke has been very rusty, so Fry has to start. Bangura could come in for Engel, but I doubt it. Then Rogers may get the nod ahead of Greenwood but again I doubt it.
and there is no comparison between Lath and Coburn.
