Team for Millwall

I'm going to be a little controversial on the my starting line up, but here goes.
Gk-Dieng
RB-Agyemang
CB-Fry
CB- Lenihan
LB-Jones
CM-Barlaser
CM-Hackney
AMR-Forss
AMC-Crooks
AML-Mcgree
ST- Silvera.

I don't rate Coulson and I know he had a poor game today but I'd prefer for us to stick with the same shape that we went with throughout pre-season.

Dieng

McNair
Fry
Lenihan
Coulson

Hackney
Barlaser

Jones
McGree
Silvera

Forss

I’m expecting a poor start to the season looking at the squad and the players who are available - i think we could be on the end of a few pumpings unfortunately early doors

What did we do last season before we had Archer, Ramsey and Barlaser?
Barlaser is irrelevant.
Before Archer and Ramsey we stumbled pre Carrick then rallied with new manager bounce.
With Ramsey and Archer we kicked, on scored more goals and steam-rollered into the playoffs. Then Ramsey gets injured and we stall in the last 6 matches.

But yeah we've got Rogers, Silvera and Gilbert now so all is good...

The Ramsey thing is a bit of a myth he is a great player but he only played 9 times for us and when McGree was fit was often on the bench not a guaranteed starter by any means

I suppose the 5 goals and assist in those 9 are a myth too? (McGree got 6 and 3 in his 43).
And Archers 11 goals and 6 assists in 20 matches are a myth too?

No coincidence that Ramsey did not play the last 4 as we ground to a halt.
Still Riley McGree made the last 4, with no goals or assists either.

no one is saying Ramsey is not a great player and prospect but over the season under Carrick we did very well with out him he was not key to our success, also from October to January without either Ramsey or Archer we were brilliant, and regarding McGree was coming back from injury which possible had an impact on his last 4 games. Saying all that it would be fantastic to get either play back this year

So, where is Howson. Have I missed an update on him. Is it as sketchy as the update on Akpom?
Can't remember if it was Teesside Live or Northern Echo yesterday
They said Akpom and Coburn have knee injuries
For Howson they said it's a different injury to the one at the end of last season - but not what it is
Smith and Dijksteel the other 2 out that I can remember hearing

It seems none are expected to be ready for Saturday against Millwall

Team v Millwall will be team that started yesterday 100%
Even if we signed someone they would probably only be risked on bench.

This is what I think it will be not necessarily what I want.

Could be Coulson at LB and McGree LW with Silvera on the bench.

Will be interesting to see if McGree does play LB. I think we need him further up the field, but if he does I think Carrick will have made his mind up about Coulson.

Up top, Forss has to play as striker. We have enough players who can play wide forward, and he is arguable our best goalscorer. I don't think he will start there though.

Yeah, Coulson might aswell leave at that point if McGree did get the nod. Cos he then knows he’s not even good enough to be back up.

For this reason surely he will have to start Coulson for this one. As much as it worries me!
