I'll be gutted to see him go but the lad deserves his shot at the Premier League, you're only one poor season away from not having that opportunity. Hopefully we can get a decent fee and reinvest in the midfield, I don't think we will get someone as good as Tav but if we can sign a couple of midfielders to replace him the squad might be stronger for it.

I thought McGree's signing suggested Tav would be off this summer; upwards of £3m for a position that we already had filled by a big player.

Whether CW has liked enough of what he's seen to go with McGree is another matter, but I'm sure he was brought in as a replacement.

Different types of players and Tav will be a massive, massive loss for us, probably more than any other player.

This is fake news. He was in the training video yesterday for intense training... They train Thursdays, and do light training the day before a game (Friday). They won't be training today too.

McGree is good enough to fill Tav's role in my opinion but if we can get even better then that would be great, I'd just like to see us use the money to get a couple really good midfielders in so that the drop off in quality isn't really noticeable when Crooks inevitably gets suspended. The Championship is brutal and players form can drop off so fast through the sheer number of games.

If it's true of course, best case scenario is Tav doesn't leave at all.
