I went to a tapas place in Harrogate that did a Romanian sausage called mici that was absolutely gorgeous.

Yes it is that one.
It was lovely. Me and wife had calamari, prawns and chorizo, chicken and rice, souvlaki, halloumi and meatballs. The others had Chicken Souvlaki, Moussaka and one had a Mixed Grill. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

I don't think it's tapas snobbery. more knowing what tapas actually is!

Without even looking at the menu patatas bravas and the meatballs every time.

There's a cracking little tapas place just outside Chapel Allerton in Leeds. El Bareto.

Recommendation on the menu is 3-4 items max per person. We would always order at least 4 items each. Cue the waiter looking at our order and advising us that it is a lot of food and we might want to remove a couple of items.

Advice we always turned down.

Can't help it now, I have been out in too many different places in Spain with Spanish friends and it feels jarring when you now have something with a British interpretation or slant.
