Super Bowl LVIII

Beat me to it.

Just watched the highlights and pretty sure she got MVP and credited with the Chiefs win?

Just. F*ck. Off. And take Kelce and his f*cking cringefest with you. Sure they are both nice people, and good luck to them for the future but it's become.....🤮🤮🤮🤮

Starting to really irrationally dislike the Chiefs because of this.
Bit weird mate

Well, I watched it from kickoff via a CBS stream, ads and all, and didn't think they overdid the Taylor Swift coverage. Brock Purdys parents got plenty of air time as the camera cut to them. Taylor Swift is huge and media companies the world over will report on her because they know it'll garner clicks.

Media coverage of her was big pre-and post game as expected but during the game itself cameras didn't cut to her any more than they would any other player's family.

As usual, the right are making a big deal out of absolutely nothing.

Just watched the second half, what a nail biting ending and Mahomes is just incredible. Think he is the best I have ever seen.

As for the posters saying how they despise it/were bored etc etc. don't bother to watch it, it's that simple. It's the same every year, telling us how much you aren't bothered and posting about it. Yawn.

Anyway, it's time to start looking towards free agency. Then the draft.

He will but to be fair to him he knocked over two 52+ yard FGs.

Did you see the stat that flashed up. There been 7 50+yard FGs in the previous 57 superbowls combined. We seen 3 tonight
Altitude helps. The Raiders stadium is 2100 feet above sea level. It's the highest above sea level stadium to host the Super Bowl.

What, you don't love the annual jokes about how it's called football but played with hands etc? They get funnier every year when repeated word for word.

It will do. It's due to reduced air pressure and air pressure will be similar inside and outside.
If you play golf in LV it's really noticeable that the ball flies further. I would have thought the same applies to a football. And warmer air helps too - heating the air inside the stadium must help a bit.

I wanted the Chiefs to win but God am I sick of seeing Taylor Swift - I never thought I would say that.

I only watched the first half, but I thought focus on her was noticeable by its absence, given how frequently she was mentioned during the build up.

She was as intrusive and game-spoiling as kneeling for a whole 3 seconds.

As for the American sports thing, I find it an interesting game of tactics, certainly more so than either code of rugby. Didn't think much of it until lockdown, but learning to appreciate it was one of the things that got me through that.

I was ambivalent about who I wanted to win until they showed the 49ers party at Elland Rd. Pleased for the chiefs.

Not so sure about your comment on Taylor Swift, continually mentioning her being in the ground, downing a beer, showing her after a Kellie carry and at the end showing her celebrating and speculating if he would propose to her on the pitch.

That was the first time in years I had watched the SB all the way through - no work commitment. I felt the first half was a bit of a cat and mouse affair, it still compelled you to watch.

I did enjoy it.
