Sunderland tickets

Go on sale this morning. How quickly will it sell out?

I've booked the Premier Inn for the night as it will take ages to get out in the car afterwards and back to York.

Hopefully some good results between now and then to set the game up perfectly.

Not sure if I'll be going to the game TBH

At a game a few years back FAC night match I witnessed an older mackem bloke simulating next with a younger fan & vowed I wouldn't go back to a Boro Sunderland game, dont want to walk to the ground & then sit listening to those vile chants fron those cretins

Likewise with me,always a nasty atmosphere whenever Sunderland are in town.

I know mr E it’s disgusting and it’s still Amazing more isn’t done about it.

Btw before some one comes back with well we are just as bad etc

no no we not as sadly there has been many such scandals and dark chapters in both Sunderland snd Newcastle and I’ve never once heard any boro fans sing about Mary bell or the bath snatchers etc.

It’s disgusting

My eldest wanted to sit in the south the last time we played them and was crying her eyes out asking why they were shouting stuff and not just supporting their team. I keep being told they are nice fans but know a very good friend of the family who calls us ‘nappy rippers’. Started a new teaching role in a Sunderland supporting area so first day is game day. A new colleague took great pleasure telling me how he remembers coming down in white overalls and wore it through the match. Just horrible fans, the majority of them.

Years ago I went out with a Geordie mate and a Mackem who worked in recruitment. The Mackem placed me in a company and was due to earn around 5k from placing me. He brought his 2 uncles along who came out with several unsavoury comments which I won't repeat. I left after about 10 minutes. I phoned the company and said l wouldn't be joining them after explaining the situation. They binned off the Makem and he lost his fee.

I suspect Cleveland Police will just stand there, hands in pockets, doing nothing when the comments come forth?

I'm not sure what Rob or anyone else from this messageboard say to MFC about these "antics." The police wont do anything and until they do, we have to listen to it.

PS. Before someone adds, yes, Boro has more than its fair share of fans who utter and chant terrible things to opposing fans. I cannot believe there are still grown men, in the same age group as me(45-54) who'll chant about rent boys and benders to London teams. It's very small time as well as embarrassing.
Just because Boro fans do it, doesn't mean I have to put up the Mackems chants.

Amazing how they clamp down on anything racist now ( rightly so ) but seem to think oh well we’ll just let the pedo chants go unchallenged ? Is it because throwing two thousand mackems out is too challenging 🫤

If that was the case half of our ground would have been thrown out when we played Leeds…..

Far too much "bothsiding" coming out above. Yes, Boro have some fans who chant nasty stuff. They should be sanctioned too, be it racism, homophobia or Jimmy Savile chants. Just because they do it, it doesn't excuse what Sunderland fans say. Using the Boro idiots as a shield for the Mackems chants is beyond the pale and unbecoming.
