Stop Posting the Conspiracy Rubbish

Rob blanked me at the Wigan game three years ago when we went top of the league.

I would be shocked because I'm clearly the most handsome man to walk by him that day but now it all makes sense ... He's in on it all! 🤣

Can people stop posting this conspiracy rubbish on here.
Thousands have died, thousands more have been very sick and thousands more would perish if we did not respect this pandemic - and that is just in this country.
We are all sick of the way our lives have been constrained and many of us are appalled at the poor handling but it is all too real.
So stop posting this stuff. Go and ask someone working at your local hospital about the real toll. Because sadly lots and lots of people are continuing to pay the ultimate price. Have some respect for them and their families.
We said rob far to much of it in here ive tried to tackle some but in the end I gave up as you say it’s not a hoax
Real people are really die ing.

Also bemused
Followed the thread with interest - don’t think I’ve experienced one person say it doesn’t exist.
Mebe Plaz?

I’ve not really seen too many conspiracy theories on here, to be honest.
There are people questioning the merits of lockdown, and others, like myself, who have questioned some of the data and headlines we are being given, and tried to discuss the alternative views of the current course of the pandemic, but I’ve not really seen anyone come out and deny covid, link it to 5g etc.

I have, however, seen plenty jump on the bandwagon and label anybody who has the audacity to question some of the clear fear mongering media headlines, as being covid-denying conspiracy theorists.

There was a Lot of anti mask stuff on here throughout the summer.

And? That's not a conspiracy theory, that's discussing the impact of wearing a mask.
Given that we have experienced a second outbreak from the point of wearing masks, there should be a debate on wether their proven ability to stop large droplets stops outweighs the fact that everyone (me included) messes with them, doesn't wash them enough and then get a little too close to other people.

You can hardly blame some people questioning that after 4 months of being told not to wear one.

There have been cases of virologists actually admitting to *lying* about the merits of wearing masks purely to protect the frontline workers and make sure they got them. But you can understand people being confused when they're then told to start.

I haven't posted any 'conspiracy' posts/threads. Only took took part in discussions that were already underway.

As already mentioned consider me muted with anything to do about the virus, done with it all now.
Day off today after a busy week at work, a Boro and Marske win this weekend will top off a great week.

Just finally though did you see my question to you a few weeks back regarding the use of masks at the rainbow centre on coulby? Do you have any contacts in the council who could provide some guidance?
I didn't see that no, sorry. Rainbow Centre and Parkway Centre are joined together but managed separately I think. And everyone should wear masks in the Parkway shopping centre but am not sure what the ruling/law is for the Rainbow because that is in essence a sports centre, even though there is a hairdressers and is there a shop or cafe unit.

Ok cheers.
Users of the centre are advised to wear them but staff aren't wearing them.

Bizarre isn't it - if I was a member of staff, there is no way I wouldn't wear some protection both for myself as well as everyone else, whether I was told it was obligatory or not.
But is that in the shopping centre part or the sports centre. Tesco have had security on the door for weeks advising people to use the one way entry and to mask up.

We‘ve all got our points of view on the whole thing, can’t see anyone changing their minds despite all the debate that goes on - a bit like Brexit.

I posted the same yesterday. Its exactly like the Brexit issue - a definitive split in opinion. All taking comfort from specific information to confirm what want to believe and will not be moved by anything to the contrary. In that respect i personally see arguments on here as pretty futile really and very repetitive. I am concerned for the economy and I am concerned for our elderly and our families. The way out is going to hurt badly but I think we cant afford to be selfish about the solution.

Have you tried doing an 8 hour shift in a mask?

The actual leisure centre. I take my eldest daughter there for swimming lessons. I assume they will probably be cancelled if the area goes into Tier 3.
