They were not derogatory threads - i said he hadn't played for two years... that was a FACTWell if this rubbish is the best you can come up with then yes, please don’t. You have something in for the Gibsons as proved your earlier derogatory threads about Ben for no reason.
Don't post the Truth Sheriff - they don't seem to like that... but getting called names for no reason - that seems to be fineNet transfer spend in the premier league 932,196,267 this summer.
Again it's an OPINION - what don't you understand? Because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't mean they are wrong or incorrectThis is the bloke who just gave Trump a thumbs up on another post. Not sure if he's constantly attention seeking or just a loon. Oops, I guess I'm going to be reported now.

I never once said he was "billy big b***ks" - he obviously did think he was better than Middlesbrough - otherwise why move? He moved thought he would get into the England squad.. then didn't play for 2 yearsAlso claimed he was the billy big b***ks type and thought he was an England defender. Did you forget about that bit? You said he thought he was bigger than Boro

But again you are attempting to deflect the thread away from supporting multi-millionaire footballers with taxpayers money
I never said having ambition was a problem - I was questioning why we were considering a player that HADN'T PLAYED FOR TWO YEARS.... we were essentially considering him because his last name was Gibson, if it was Jones, Burt or Smith... everyone would be saying he hasn't played for 2 yearsAnd what is wrong with thinking he can get in the England squad? I fail to see really what is wrong with him having ambition, it never worked out for him but I don’t see why that is a problem at all
Again we're talking of the whole EFL - not just League 1 and 2Yep, because all league 2 footballers are multi millionaires. Every single one of them.

Thank you - I do admit I am 'too the point' and probably don't explain it well enough - but you have posted a great postTo be fair you raise a valid point and one that I agree with. What a way to go about it though...
Any other business spunking 50mill on bad deals, probably an entire years revenue, then asking for handouts a couple of years later so they don’t have to lay off any more of their minimum wage staff would be laughed at.
Support for this bailout relies heavily on the view that football clubs are more than just businesses. That they play some kind of role within communities. But this isn’t true and hasn’t been for decades.
Most clubs are mismanaged and in my opinion should be allowed to fail as a result.
We could do with a few less anyway - bigger slice of the pie for those left standing.
I find it hard to believe “fans” still see themselves as something more than customers at this point
Again we're talking of the whole EFL - not just League 1 and 2
So Gibson and Championship chairmen shouldn't ask for taxpayer bailouts - thank you for agreeing with me....Yes exactly. The whole of the EFL aren’t multi millionaires.

He can do what he wants. If he thinks it will help keep English football afloat then yes, yes he should.
They are allowed government support. They have the same furlough offer as other sectors. No consolation to a footballer and his family of his employer goes to the wall because it is not allowed to seek Government support as with many other sectors. You are getting into dangerous territory when you start discriminating against a company because of the sector and perceived wealth of its owners/shareholders. Means testing I think you are advocating for government support. So for example we shouldn't give money to any music venue owned by a wealthy shareholder?
