Why should taxpayers support Limited Companies? Don't remember these Football Clubs sharing money when times were good
Furlough is slightly different to multi millionaire chairmen across the countryI know I shouldn’t but I am going to bite on this idiotic post as I am a bit bored.
So you don’t agree with the furlough scheme then in any shape or form.

Who do you think owns the very many big companies across the country that have been supported by furlough.Furlough is slightly different to multi millionaire chairmen across the country
A lot were for small businesses and self employedWho do you think owns the very many big companies across the country that have been supported by furlough.
Again when did the clubs share the money when times were good? Did we get lower season tickets, shirt prices, etc when we got £100+ million promotion money? Nahh didn't think soHilarious that you think he is just asking for the money for his own personal gain. It’s for the EFL to continue its current format.
Not a clue, but they shouldn't receive a pennyHas British sport received any finanical help from the government so far during this pandemic?
Yes and a lot were multinationals too.A lot were for small businesses and self employed
Don't know .. you talk a lot of rubbish half the timeProbably the dumbest post in fmttm history and that is some achievement.
Thank you sheriff - exactly my point of view... but you said it much better than my blunt / direct approachHaving endured 10 years of cuts to absolutely vital public services, with further cuts likely to come, I would not be in favour of my taxes being used to pay for a footballers wages. Financial help should be going to the poorest in society, not the richest. Football needs to sort it's own mess out.
If chairman worth £200m+ are asking for government/taxpayer handouts... we might aswell not bother - we're not talking about till staff on £8 an hour hereYes and a lot were multinationals too.
We are not talking about millionaire prem players here but a league 1 player on say £30000 a year. How you do you say no to him rather than a bar manager at say a music venue on the same salary? You cant can you? Do you let the Club fold and he loses his job?Having endured 10 years of cuts to absolutely vital public services, with further cuts likely to come, I would not be in favour of my taxes being used to pay for a footballers wages. At the last round of talks there was about 50 million offered, the league said the offer was still on the table and that any clubs going into debt should still contact them on an individual basis. (I think). It's basically a game of brinkmanship at the moment. Hopefully they will be able to come out of it with a deal that is not too unpalatable. I forsee b teams. Exemption from the league cup and it's European place going. I think voting rights for the big clubs and spurs were the main sticking point last time.
We're talking about ALL EFL clubs... not just League 1 and 2We are not talking about millionaire prem players here but a league 1 player on say £30000 a year. Interesting article.... "According to reported figures, Stoke City have nine players on their books who are earning £50,000 a week or higher. "Putting in ?
Your figures are way too low.
