Steve Gibson and the overhaul that never happens

Ticker, I just feel you are misplaced with your blind support of Gibbo. He is- and has- failed for years. Countless errors, serious lack of judgement- I could go on. He needs to radically change. For a man of such ego, power hungry, micro manager it appears this wil not happen. And meanwhile the club continues its decline.
 
Yes its seems to be growing granted, and Im sure you will eventually march around the stadium with Gibson out banners or start chanting it at the match when we return.
 
You really should adopt a more mature way of debating your cause. The trouble is Gibbo offers little to defend him. Your accountant reference made me chuckle. As if we are well run financially- we are run in a very amateurish way

You really need to step back and have a word with yourself, you are talking yourself into hating someone who you have probably never met.

I get that passions run high about football and to an extent I'm a little divorced from that as like ticker I've watched us through the lean years and watched other teams disappear under an avalanche of debt and mismanagement. I honestly do not see that from Gibson. Of course he has made mistakes no-one is arguing that he hasn't.

It is not that he has made mistakes- it is the fact he continues to do so.I am afraid he is the problem and not the solution a dwindling band continue to think he is. And yes, I’ve Ben there through the lean, depressing times. Frankly we appear to be sleepwalking back to some of our dark days
 
Ive met him twice first time for a couple of hours second time a nod and a wink. I dont know him personally so have no idea of his personality traits.
Hes never left us short of money, has been visionary with his plans for the club and I dont have to tell you what he has achieved with our team. I know he looked at the QF attendance for the Uefa cup and thought whats the point.
Buts lets be honest the support on this board mainly live many miles away and a lot of the local ones want it free with a Hardwick lounge meal thrown in.

Nobody local is going to buy it,theres nobody got the funds or desire theres very few this neck of the woods who have come from nothing and done as well. So if it goes Chinese or Arabic is that what we want?
 
Sorry Nosmo its as good as it gets from me unfortunately, Im 58 and really dont care how you feel I argue or seem.
Thats how I am, I would wouldnt pizz up your back to give you a nice warm feeling or flatter to deceive you.

your point about a purchaser of the club? Could well be valid. The bottom line is none of us have any idea if there would be an interest.
There is talk about not having leaders off the pitch- I would suggest this applies off the field too.
 
Of that we are agreed! By the same token I don’t wish to make an enemy of a fellow Boro fan. Seen enough disagreements over the years boil over In the Holgate into fisticuffs!

Me neither its just a disagreement nothing more, the views on how we play are the same...just opinions good or bad.
