Labour's manifesto for the Hartlepool by election.

Boris paid too much for his curtains !

Just about sums them up really !
The timeline of the by-election in Hartlepool and the revelations about who paid for the Downing Street refurbishment would suggest that your statement is palpably ridiculous.

Spot on.
People have lost jobs, been living on low incomes and some are on the brink of losing their homes!
What does Starmer do?
He stands in a wallpaper department taking the pizz out of no. 10.

Flippin *************!

Its alright for "Sir":mad::mad::mad:

With respect r00fie1, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. People level accusations of being boring, no character, has nothing about him etc constantly. They say he has no presence. Then, during a national scandal he briefly pops into John Lewis to take the pi$$ out of Johnson and he's getting slaughtered saying he should be hard at graft instead.

I'd bet everything I own that Starmer works harder every working day of his life than that idiot Johnson ever has and personally I think when there is a government mired knee deep in scandal after scandal he has every right to take pee out of them.

As far as I'm aware Paul Williams hasn't once mentioned curtains or wallpaper during HIS Hartlepool by-election campaign.

If anybody has different information I'd be happy to acknowledge it 👍

You think that's all he did with his day?

Morning Mr Strachan;)
I have to disagree.
Given the grave crisis we are in and the number of families and young people in Hartlepool who are looking at a bleak future - they need hope for the future and leadership.

Heres how Field Marshall Montgomery summed up "leadership":

Im referring to the "leader" of Her Majesty`s Official Opposition.
One reason this corrupt, back-handed, authoritarian Government is getting away with it is because people see a void where an alternative should be.
Out of desperation comes despair, fear and demoralisation of the population.
Its filled by racists, fascists and political flotsam and jetsam which festers in the gutter of society.
If Sturmer doesnt want to take responsibility to lead and offer hope and practical policies , he knows where the door is.
Im taslking about his policies and his actions.
So far, I wouldnt want him as my commanding Officer.

Starmer has been to Hartlepool already as has Angela Rayner and others.

He was photographed in John Lewis Manchester yesterday where he'd been supporting Andy Burnham in the up-coming Metro Mayoral election.

As well as the Hartlepool by-election and a number of Mayoral elections there are PCC elections and local council elections to consider.

Starmer has been all around the country in support of Labour candidates.

I think criticising him for a **** take of Johnson which probably took about 15 minutes to stage is a bit trivial really.

Don’t you think people should lighten up a little?

He‘s accused of being boring and not getting stuck into Bunter and then when he does something which powerfully makes a point with one photograph he is aggressively run down by ‘life long Labour voters’ for not talking about problems which are currently easy for the Tories to blame on the pandemic.

Personally I thought it was funny, and drove the point about a spoilt, over indulgent and fiddling PM home.

You know it has drawn a lot of blood because the Tories are in a tailspin about it.

Well done Starmer, let’s have more of the same son.

Sorry chap - I cant agree.
Does anyone know what his policies are on
Homelessness - including the "right to buy"
Child Poverty including Free Child Care
A Living Wage
Fighting racism and the rise of fascism
Industrial Investment and Regeneration
Our relationship with Europe
The Northern Irish question?

.......etc.

He visited Nottingham.................to find out the difference between a "Cob" and a bread role.
No policies - just trivia
Erewash Valley is amongst the poorest in the country in terms of relative deprivation, income and unemployment....what do we get?......"cobs"!

Labour leader Keir Starmer reveals what he calls a 'cob' during visit to East Midlands

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer gave an answer to the feisty debate over what people call a 'cob' during a visit to the East Midlands.

On Saturday, April 24, Mr Starmer was visiting Ilkeston Town Football Club following the widespread outrage over plans for a European Super League, plans for which have since come crashing down.

We sat down with the Labour leader to chat about the local elections on May 6 as well as grassroots football, but one question remained unanswered.

Here a filling, from ham to chips, is put in a 'cob'.

Across the country, however, people refer to the classic cob as anything from a barm cake and bread roll to a bap or a bread cake.

Mr Starmer was born in Southwark, London, but his answer to the big question may surprise you.

He said: "What do I call a cob? Well, there are lots of different things you can call a cob.

"Well, I would say butty. That's not from St Pancras that's from my Leeds days. I lived in Leeds for a number of years and I picked up butty there. I'm sticking with butty.

"Once you've lived in Leeds for a number of years you can't move away from butty."

He added Londoners typically call a cob - or butty - a roll.

Mr Starmer spent a number of years at the University of Leeds, graduating in Law in 1985.

He now represents Holborn and St Pancras as the member of parliament.
