Sporting v City

Sporting being humiliated 0-4 at half time.

Sporting seem to be trying to play City at their own game, with predictable results...

Two of City's goals were a bit lucky, but they've been very good. (The Mahrez cross for Foden's goal (very composed) managed to get through three defenders), Silva's second probably saved without the deflection.

As much as I don't like so called super clubs credit much be given to Man City. They are a pleasure to watch. What a team they are.

I love Foden playing in that false 9 role. Kane will understandably start at the world cup but using Foden as a false 9 could be an alternative option, especially if Kane is injured.

Despite the result Sporting have one of the brightest young managers around it seems.

Talk linking him with Man Utd job, so tonight's result good practice if that happens then.

I also opted for the PSG game, was pretty uneventful until the final 20 minutes.

PSG deserved the victory but I'm not Real will be too daunted with only a goal deficit (no away goals this season either).

Veratti was back to his absolute best and ran the midfield. Old school Italian performance by Madrid under Carlo - they were incredibly well organised and formed a good defensive unit.

Think I'd fancy Madrid to (just) sneak through overall.
