Southgate staying on for the Euros

Good news.

Is a young squad with a lot more potential improvement and I think it's the best decision all round.

I wouldn't bet against him being back at Boro one day either.
I would! After the way he was sacked, there is no way that he would come back as manager.

The correct decision to stay, and made in the correct, considered, way.

When he does eventually go back into club management he won’t be pï55ing around with the likes of us btw.

Didn't deserve the sack, and it will also ensure the next manager still has the chance to win our first major trophy since Alf Ramsey.

Good news. Statistically speaking, you’d expect England to win the Euros before they next win the World Cup. He’s done well avoiding banana skins and has something to build on, hopefully we can finally overcome our hoodoo of beating rival nations in knockouts.

Also, we won’t have home advantage but we will probably have the second biggest support in Germany.

Leaves a nice platform for the next guy, a World Cup to have a crack at followed by a home Euros.

Having Italy in the qualifiers should probably build a bit of positivity if we manage to qualify too.
A side people will struggle to claim are soft opposition, despite their recent World Cup struggles.

Either that or his contract is up anyway.

The correct decision. Southgate is still the person to lead what will hopefully be a really successful European Championship.

He'll probably do well to stay off social media for a while, the abuse is already flowing and it's not even officially confirmed.
