Some unpleasant posting on here of late

Just don’t lower yourself to personally attack someone for having a different opinion👍

You need (at least 2 strong political parties) for a country to function.

Don’t gang up on a posters.

At the end of the day it’s just a bit of craic and it’s healthy to debate and disagree.
Ganging up - while I don't think it especially happens on here too often - doesn't happen much.
And doesn't just need to be about politics

In December 2022 I had my mother stopping for Christmas. She has dementia - and I work at home - so it was quite challenging
Boro won a game after Christmas and I came on here to see posts and enjoy the win after a challenging day working and caring for someone with dementia at the same time
Some hope
It was so nice to have a post I had made 4 months ago mildly criticising 2 players for 2 (only 2) poor performances
Because 1 of the players had scored that day a particular poster decided to have a go at me in quite an annoying and derogatory way - and when I said I had criticised 2 players for 2 performances, not their whole Boro careers. There was a pile on by several other posters
I then found out the same poster who was the worst and had hoofed the thread had attacked 1 of those players in a far heavier way than me on the same day!

They later posted on here how they were struggling with mental health
Well I was having a challenging time - and didn't need the grief I got on here from 5/6 posters when coming on to enjoy the banter after a Boro won
I stayed off here until Mam had gone home

So the Tory lite comments on the so-called anti-Tory piling on on here.....I don't see it

By far the majority of posters on here are nice people, help with queries if you ask on here - and are generally friendly
We all have different opinions on different things - and most people on here are friendly or at least civil to one another
Disagreements are rarely carried outside the particular thread

The Board will die if a minority of posters go out to over annoy others, predominately because they are their own internal anger and frustrations out on the Board. They may have mental health problems, but they need to recognise there are effects on others.

Its about getting the balance right, say if some doesn't like something on politics they criticise the politician/party not the poster.

If they don't like what MFC is doing they keep the criticism to the club in their post, not other criticism posters who may have differing views and sometimes whose views they may think they know but don't fully etc .

There could be also an issue with posters wanting to have the last word.

I don't think the reply boxes help the situation where somones reply is constantly highlighted by the board software in anothers posters post.

I will and do also take on board anything I post.

I think maybe some people take this place too seriously at times. It's just a message board. None of you people are real anyway. This entire board is just different aspects of my own personality arguing with each other.
If someone is taking things too hard just have a rest off the board
It's just like social media - just avoid what you don't enjoy
Happy Sunday everyone 🙂

And? Doesn't exactly fit in with your grim "people still like the hate filled Tories" view of the UK does it? Unless if course you're own of these working class Tories. Who hates their own kind and believes their politics of hate are more popular than they actually are

No I’m not - I’ve no political allegiances whatsoever. I just don’t take much notice of these polls that’s all.

Yet you seem certain that the corrupt, haters of the working class are popular. Why is that?
No i never said they were popular, i just said the majority of the population usually don’t trust Labour enough to vote for them come election time. Of course that doesn’t mean that won’t change this time but going on the fact that The Labour Party has only won 8 out of the last 28 elections since 1918 i wouldn’t really be overly confident of backing them to get a majority this time.

As someone else pointed out, first past the post is why we generally get Tory govts - yes theyre the largest single party but never have a majority of votes. But a smart fella like you knew that didnt you?

Didn’t labour oppose scrapping the first past the post system ?

SO you expect people to vote tory after everything they have done?

Both main parties backed FPTP for most of the last century, if I'm not mistaken.
