Sky just said new Sunlun manager IS Tony Mowbray

Awful appointment. Really dont want him to fail but I really dont want them to succeed.

I'll take us getting automatic and them getting beat in the play offs
 
Bit gutted as I love Mogga and want him to do well, but can't be wanting them to succeed!

On a personal level for him, great appointment. Gets to still live at home, will be on a decent salary and another crack at the Championship.
 
I had a brief gander at their forum, **** me they’re deluded . Many gunning for dyche and bielsa despite not having the finances to do it. I think their attendances are making them believe they’re wealthier than they are . I mean I heard they only made like 200k more in terms of cash raised in ticket sales than us in the premier league season, despite 10k more fans .

If you charge less , you will bring more in but generate less revenue. I do genuinely believe if Sunderland charged our prices I think they would get high 20k in the championship and mid 30s in the premiership

Their inflated attendances make them believe they’re a bigger pull than they are. Fact of the matter is , they’ve just lost their manager to a club the same size as us

Mowbray finished 8th last season with Blackburn . He will keep them up , what the **** do they expect when they’ve just come back up after spending years in league 1?

Had a little read of their board. One of them said he may be ok for Blackburn and Boro but we are Sunderland.

Now I've been on this earth for over 40 years. During that time I've seen us get to 5 cup finals, including a European one. I've seen us win one trophy. I've seen us in Europe twice. I've seen the likes of juninho, boksic, mendieta and traore play for us.
Blackburn won the league and a league cup I think.
Sunderland got to one cup final that I can recall, which they lost. And the best player they've seen play is probably Kevin Phillips.

Dear me. Some of them are as bad as the Geordies. :ROFLMAO:

Quinn and Phillips were superb for a few seasons in fairness.
