Scotland v England

Technically it’s a friendly yes, but I hope Gareth takes this opportunity to test his best line up on a hostile environment against an opposition that really really want to beat us. As it’s been these crunch style games they we have struggled with in the past.

This is perfect chance to practice for next year in Germany snd dhow our inner steel.

I think it will be pretty much full strength - quite a bit of negative press from Saturday, so the last thing he will want is a poor performance/ result tonight!

Should be a good test against a bang in form team. Looking forward to it .... as much as I can for a September international anyway!

Best chance Scotland have had of beating us in a long time coming off the back of their recent results however i imagine it will be a comfortable England win, Kane will fancy it big time.

He's already stated it will be a strong team with little room to change starting 11..

Though for me Henderson should be no where near the squad..

I hope players like Kane, Henderson, Maguire get dropped for players Colwill, Dunk, Tomori, Eze, Nketiah etc. Who cares if Kane scores a hatrick, what would we learn from that?

I think a comfortable England win. We looked in second gear on Saturday, fairly sure we'll up our performance tonight.

Totally agree about Henderson.

He has totally lost it, and although he had more ability than some give him credit for, most of his game was about running. He is nowhere near technically good enough to justify his place now that his legs have gone.

It's a big game this, the players will be raring to go.

The Home International week was good preparation for a squad to get together and play in a competition. I'd love to see it return.
I was going to reply with exactly the same to Juninhoburger. The Home Internationals were brilliant and only someone who hasn't been to a Scotland v England game would say it was pointless.

Is that what the game is about for you?
What would we learn if Kane, Maguire and Henderson play? The players I mentioned would gain so much more for future tournaments and qualifiers, we could know if on the big stage those players can step up and play in a hostile atmosphere.

Most of the kids have already played in tournaments at the various levels, they know what it's all about.

Was going to say the exact same. Not got the legs to warrant being in there for off the ball work, not good enough on the ball when in possession.
Scotland will be well up for this and I expect midfield to be a battle, need someone with more legs in there than Henderson.
