Russia / NATO in April 2022

I think Ukraine will fall in the next couple of weeks and that will be an end to the fighting.
I'm not so sure. I think if he cannot achieve his objectives in two weeks he probably won't be able to. It is one thing to drive to Kyiv another thing to occupy it and then supress the whole country. He will be left with an insurgency that will bleed his military. Analysts agree that he does not have the troops to occupy the whole country. I think the game plan was to impose a puppet government but that looks to be a forlorn hope he would have to prop up that government with absolutely brutal oppression for years to come.

That would be the hope Muttley.

If anyone is wondering how much pain pain vlad is willing to take And then to inflict just look at Chechnya and to a degree Syria

as it’s the same Russian troops and weapons and commanders.

I think Ukraine will fall in the next couple of weeks and that will be an end to the fighting. The west will accept what Putin has done but lift some of the sanctions as they will begin to cripple our own economies. There will be no new Nato memberships. The West will continue to turn a blind eye as long as the oil and gas supply continues.
The Russian gas production is not designed to be easily turned on and off, it has to go somewhere. If we don't buy it then the Russian economy will implode. Why do you think the Germans vetoed the approval of the new pipeline when they are one of the biggest dependents on Russian gas?

Ukraine's foreign ministry said Russia was barbaric for attacking a TV tower near a memorial site that commemorates the victims of Babyn Yar.

Babyn Yar was one of the biggest single massacres of Jews during the Nazi Holocaust.

The site contains a cluster of memorials to remember those who died, including a separate one for the children.
