and how do you make people aware of the reasons for a 'boycott'?
Social media and fan forums i guess
How did NUFC supporters make their dislike of Ashley and his cockney mafia so common knowledge? (They did a good job of it anyhow)

Sorry that was directed at @atypical_boroNo idea Humpty
I don`t believe that they would release a statement like they have if there wasn`t some truth behind it but would like clarity even if it stopped people using it as a stick to beat them with.
Which is exactly what they've done.Social media and fan forums i guess
Possible price rises were not raised at any forum meetings. So reading back through the thread it was mentioned that the "possible rise in prices" was discussed in the last MSF meeting but the discussion wasn`t minuted.
Can someone who was there confirm whether this was indeed the case?
Thank you, that clears that up then.Possible price rises were not raised at any forum meetings.
Sounds like 8ollocks then, Red faction should retract their statement.Thank you, that clears that up then.
Seems a strange statement to make then if it transpires that it hasn`t come through the correct channels of information from the club
Hard to disagree with you if that is indeed the case.Sounds like 8ollocks then, Red faction should retract their statement.
Not what I meant. I meant that in response, at best, the club will say “ok no price rises”. Then at the end of the season, if we get promoted, instead of a £2 rise per match we get a £4 rise per match. It’s just PR management. The prices are dictated, 100%, by what people are willing to part with in a transaction, not by what banners they hold up. Obviously there is no harm in holding up banners, but it is wasted energy in the long run unless you’re willing to reclaim some of the commercial power. What are RF08 gaining from this as a PR stunt?
Our meeting was discussing ongoing ideas like membership cards and things like that rather than pricing for next season. Not what I meant. Yeah. I never understand why they got rid of Boro Pride. Our meeting was discussing ongoing ideas like membership cards and things like that rather than pricing for next season.
Agreed, was always a great bridge between walk-ups and season cards.Yeah. I never understand why they got rid of Boro Pride.
Yes. It also made people feel like they could get a “better” price. Even if it just meant non-Pride members were paying even more above the odds.Agreed, was always a great bridge between walk-ups and season cards.
We used as it as my son became of age/got converted. Season cards soon followed.
Good job of letting their feelings known. Packing the stadium out every week meant he stayed for 15 years including two relegations, however.Social media and fan forums i guess

"discussions" - please take time to read and understandBeing aware of what? Something that may or may not have happened?
What confirmed discussions have taken place with official channels? Please take time to read and understand also."discussions" - please take time to read and understand
If this was accurate and the red faction had ‘caught wind’ of it then I’m sure Rob would know about it also. Before making statements about the club they need to be 110% sure before posting them online.
You just can't help yourself.Even if that's true you still need to justify the blunt instrument of an age-based concession. And the demographic you are giving it to is still on average the second best off in disposable income terms, behind only their still working immediate juniors. So you can't. Some of them are poor. Some of them aren't. More twentysomethings are poor, although some of them aren't. More thirtysomethings are poor, although some of them aren't. That's unarguable. All the data says so.
I'd say either you do an individualised concession for individuals who are struggling. Or if that's too hard you do one for age groups that are poorer on average. The current concession is neither. It's one for an age group that is richer on average. I may be about to join it but it really can't be justified.
Nothing says Rob would have heard about it.If this was accurate and the red faction had ‘caught wind’ of it then I’m sure Rob would know about it also. Before making statements about the club they need to be 110% sure before posting them online.
