Red Faction - Ticket Price Statement

What are RF08 gaining from this as a PR stunt?
Not what I meant. I meant that in response, at best, the club will say “ok no price rises”. Then at the end of the season, if we get promoted, instead of a £2 rise per match we get a £4 rise per match. It’s just PR management. The prices are dictated, 100%, by what people are willing to part with in a transaction, not by what banners they hold up. Obviously there is no harm in holding up banners, but it is wasted energy in the long run unless you’re willing to reclaim some of the commercial power.

Our meeting was discussing ongoing ideas like membership cards and things like that rather than pricing for next season.

Agreed, was always a great bridge between walk-ups and season cards.
We used as it as my son became of age/got converted. Season cards soon followed.👍
Yes. It also made people feel like they could get a “better” price. Even if it just meant non-Pride members were paying even more above the odds.

Social media and fan forums i guess

How did NUFC supporters make their dislike of Ashley and his cockney mafia so common knowledge? (They did a good job of it anyhow)
Good job of letting their feelings known. Packing the stadium out every week meant he stayed for 15 years including two relegations, however.

Even if that's true you still need to justify the blunt instrument of an age-based concession. And the demographic you are giving it to is still on average the second best off in disposable income terms, behind only their still working immediate juniors. So you can't. Some of them are poor. Some of them aren't. More twentysomethings are poor, although some of them aren't. More thirtysomethings are poor, although some of them aren't. That's unarguable. All the data says so.

I'd say either you do an individualised concession for individuals who are struggling. Or if that's too hard you do one for age groups that are poorer on average. The current concession is neither. It's one for an age group that is richer on average. I may be about to join it but it really can't be justified.
You just can't help yourself.

Why not equally focus on the kids who go to the match in discounted seats all over the stadium, regardless of the income of the parent that has taken them. Loaded parents get a discount they don't need, while kids who'd love to go can't get near.
But the truth is that there is a wide mixture of parents and kids there. Some loaded, some however are sacrificing greatly to take the family along.
The same is true of other concessions.

Your argument appears to be that discounts should only apply where you deem they are necessary.
Oh and of course the classic means tested approach.
Beyond parody you.

If this was accurate and the red faction had ‘caught wind’ of it then I’m sure Rob would know about it also. Before making statements about the club they need to be 110% sure before posting them online.
Nothing says Rob would have heard about it.
I never doubt his integrity.
A club is like a fishermans maggie-box. Take the lid off an they crawl all over.....

Tell that to Talksport and the Evening Gazette;)
