Utter rubbish.they were shafted almost as much by labour
Blair's government did nowhere near as much as they could have done, and the same will happen under Starmer, but stop these lies.

A bit like the other thing the Tories are to blame for - Brexit (that’s gone well hasn’t it?) once the ball is rolling it’s very hard to change it.and labour didnt do a jot to reverse it in fact blair, believed in it
Posting this irrelevance, do you not realise the scale of the problem?
Starmer supporting rail strikers and saying how important it is for MPs to support the unions and how if he wins the labour leadership race he will supports people like you he says and stand with people to win issues
Isn’t that a bit of a lie?
its not a lie new labour did nothing to reverse privatised industries including utilities and then they had the temerity to accelerate investment through PFIs. Blair is a neoliberal who believes in the free market with a bit of additional support for the poorest in society, He doesnt believe in nationalisation one iota. starmer is another neoliberal who wouldnt have the balls to renationalise anything.Utter rubbish.

Old way of saying it’s all Labours fault.its not a lie new labour did nothing to reverse privatised industries including utilities and then they had the temerity to accelerate investment through PFIs. The Tories claimed that Thatcher had ‘fixed’ the country, that was a lie.My view...
The UK economy is run primarily for the benefit of upper and middle class people living in London and the Home Counties. The evidence is the economic policies and to some extent the political and social policies of the last 43 years.
Some may argue this was always so, but the degree of this has increased with the abandonment of one nation policies in 1980s which were continued in some way by New Labour (nicknamed Tory Lite by SNP supporters).
The continuing centralisation of power away from local areas has made the situation worse.
Oil and gas are priced in dollars. So you’re blaming the energy prices on the 2016 drop on currency value
Do explain more
Oil and gas are priced in dollars.
If the pound goes down we pay more.
You think Bozza would have rushed headlong into confrontation with Russia if he knew it would crash the UK economy and cost him his job?Putin caused this energy crisis in the first place , so I will blame him. He chose to invade Ukraine because he ***** himself silly to a soviet flag
Helping the Ukrainians against a fascist was always going to be the right thing to do , even if people do it for the image
I’m starting a new career so by no means a top earner . If I have to suffer this winter with increased energy prices then so be it
You think Bozza would have rushed headlong into confrontation with Russia if he knew it would crash the UK economy and cost him his job?
Just because it was the right thing to do?
All sounds a bit bold for a clown that threw thousands of elderly and vulnerable under the covid bus.
May 2016 just b4 brexit vote£1 = $1.21 as of right now
no both the Tories and new labour to blameOld way of saying it’s all Labours fault.
Change the record, people are bored with you.
Tories to blame I’m afraid.
Holgate - Don't forget the The Tory leader in June 2016 was a big Remainer and so were the majority of senior Tories. Every household got a leaflet through their letter box with a big picture of David Cameron say vote Remain paid for by the Conservative Government (I believe). Tories MPs were split. UKIP were the only clear Brexit Party in 2016 and Ulster Unionists in NI.The Tories claimed that Thatcher had ‘fixed’ the country, that was a lie.
The Tories claimed that Brexit would lead to sunlit uplands - another lie.
I don’t think it needs deep analysis to realise the country is run for the benefit of shareholders and the London Stock Exchange and people (often foreigners) with a lot of money.
Are you oblivious to the fact the UK economy is steaming like a turd, all on his watch?Johnson didn’t lose his job over Ukraine , he lost it over partying in lockdown and the blatant corruption and hiring of someone who is a sex pest .
If he didn’t do the above and took the same position on Ukraine he would be pretty high in approval ratings right now and on his way to another majority at the next election
It was right he had to go ; I lost my father in law to covid during the 3rd lockdown. But I don’t blame him for the energy crisis. I blame Putin for that , and all the politicians who increased their countries energy dependency on Russia when he was attacking crimea and Georgia . Merkel in particular ****ed up big time
We hardly import from Russia . But if it impacts europe , it has a ripple effect on us
I do think the government and European governments will have to intervene this winter over energy prices . But Johnson’s approach to Russia over this war has been 100% right. Europe and the west are fighting an evil that hasn’t existed since the 1940s
Only Tories to blame for Thatcherism and the Brexit shambles.no both the Tories and new labour to blame
What a stupid referendum put on the table by Tory Cameron to an electorate who largely and understandably did not have any appreciation how much damage would be done to the economy.Global trade hits record $7.7 trillion in first quarter of 2022 shar.es/af2pWi
It is about 20% more relative to pre-pandemic levels. Here is export growth of countries who exported at least 50bln USD in 2019Q1
So, how is Brexit going? Not so well...
