Reason for optimism re Burnley sat

I don't fear them, we're on a great run and the lads know they could realistically be in the play off places come New year if they keep it up.
They struggle defensively, as long as our defence is good I think we'll be fine and get a point at least
 
Burnley have the home advantage, they look slightly better on paper, their form is strong and consistent. We would be expected to lose this game. We have nothing to lose from where we were.. I don’t think any team wants to face boro right now. Like a bull in a chine shop just getting up to speed!
 
Burnley are very, very good at pressing high up the pitch, IF and its a big if, we can beat the press, or negate it entirely, like Sheff Utd managed to do by going long, then their defence can certainly be got at.

Should be a good game.
 
They don’t have the strongest defence- 5 clubs have let in fewer goals. So something to work on - albeit they are not too shabby attacking - wise
 
6th best defence in the league and you say they aren't the "strongest defensively". Take away that away game against Sheff U and they have the joint best defence. They certainly have the best attack.

Clearly the hardest game we have yet to play this season.

Correct, I would have thought a top of the league team did not have 5 better teams letting in less goals - all about opinions!
 
We tend to rise to the occasion in these types of games.

It’ll a tough one for sure, but I think we’re more suited when teams come at us rather than sit back.

I can see us picking up at least a point.
 
Another factor is Burnley's upcoming game with Man United at Old Trafford. Half an eye on that fixture possibly? Clutching at any straw.
 
They're a good team, but they're beatable. Defensively a bit soft.

They will be strong favourites, but we are not grasping at straws to think we can bring 1 or more points home. All about attitude and belief, if we can put the effort in too then we have a chance. I think the big worry area is our LB vs their RW, not a good match up for us defensively. Nullify that threat and we have a chance
