Reason for optimism re Burnley sat

You could argue that Norwich was the acid test but with Burnley being the Championship front runners surely this has to be the key indicator of where we’re at under Carrick?
I think it would have been with Farke, but they don't look as strong in the championship now he's gone. Their play isn't as fluid.
 
The little-remembered Jacob Butterfield springs to mind reading this thread.

I think the day he scored the winner at Turf Moor, we were in midtable limbo and they may even have been able to seal promotion that day. Anyway, we crashed their party. We've done it before and we can do it again; there's no difference in quality in this division that can't be overcome on the right/wrong day.
