Really looking forward to the Euros now

Feels like we haven't had a proper summer tournament since 2018. 2021 we still had the dark clouds of covid hanging over us. So in a way we haven't had a proper summer EUROS since 2016, when England went out to Iceland.

Hopefully we'll fare a bit better this time!

My 7 year old will be right into this one. What are you looking forward to most other than the England matches?

For me, probably watching Scotland's 'spirited' 1-0 defeat in the opener. (Sorry Laughing ;) ).

2021 still felt relatively normal I thought, apart from the table service in bars...

I've just realised I'll be in Glasgow for a gig on the night of our third group game, so very much hoping we've got top spot done and dusted before then

tbh I quite enjoyed the format of the 2021 tournament.

Think its a shame they didn't give it a proper go again, lots of matches in countries that cant hold a tournament in its entirety was quite refreshing. No one making themselves bankrupt building infrastructure and not totally held in one (or 2) of the usual suspects

Oh I didn't not enjoy but you couldn't legally have people round for a barbecue during it!

I honestly couldn't care less. I find it really difficult to get enthralled or relate to the current crop of England footballers.

Bit of summer football beats the long nothing break between end of season and the friendlies starting, can't say I'm very excited by England's chances, think we will have our usual safety first tournament and choke at some point

I’m really excited and hope England do well.

However I do wish that some England fans (and the media) would lower their expectations somewhat. From what I see and hear it feels like some people believe it’s “ours to lose” and Gareth will inevitably mess it up.

Reality is that you have weaknesses in the England defence and also a fantastic France team, a strong Germany side (and they are hosts), an impressive and young Spanish team that is a couple more years mature from the last tournament. We could just easily be outplayed and soundly beaten…and if it happens then that’s okay. Just enjoy the ride!
