Real Madrid

I’m really interested in what the managers do, Pep at City and Bayern seems to overthink a lot of the champions league games in the latter stages. Picks not what is his best team, but what he thinks is best based on the opposition.
Poch so far has not won anything, and I’m saying this more from memory than fact but his sides don’t tend to play well in big games. Although could easily argue he’s never managed a team as good as this.

I'm going with PSG over two legs. What's impressed me is that Poch has them better organised off the ball whilst playing some incredible football going forward. As both teams will probably go for it, it could actually come down to better defence. PSG just edge it on that count for me.

It will be interesting to see who is right CM, I completely disagree and think City have a much better defence, Stone's ****-ups aside.

I do think PSG will win over the 2 legs, so we are as one on that, but I think their better forward line may carry the day.

I can't understand why anybody would prefer PSG to beat City, who perhaps isn't really a Man U fan.

They're the only one of the 4 who didn't join the Super League.

That they clearly only stayed out of it because of their own self interest, rather than through a genuine show of integrity, doesn't change that.

I'm rooting for anyone but Real Madrid, who are refusing to back down from the breakaway.

Though before the shambles of last week I would have rooted for anyone but PSG.

I do wonder if Madrid are in such a state, financially, they either have to have the money or want the windfall from the other clubs withdrawing and being sued.

Why would you want City to win? Unless you were from Manchester and raised as a City fan? I don't personally see any major draw in them being 'English'. They have like 3 English players in the whole squad of 24.

That's 3 more than PSG
Negligible. Man City don't represent 'England' in any way in my opinion. I associate them more with Abu Dhabi's royal family, and with Spain, than anything British. Horses for courses though.

Actually they don't have as many Spanish as they used to.

Stones, Sterling, Walker, Foden...which one isn't English?

Negligible means barely or insigniifcant, not none.
But it is significant....PSG & Real both have 0 English players or English connections.

Man City & Chelsea have 4/5 players each. Not a lot, but certainly more than the other two.

I'm not disagreeing with the statistics but I just don't feel like they represent England. My subjective opinion.

What would be a significant number?
Would depend on how corrupt and tyrannical their owners are first and foremost. Assuming they weren't, I'd say 5 or 6 might be enough. I wanted United to win it in 99. Not sure I've cared about any English club in the CL since.
