Rashford

Football is a "Team" game.
I`m really glad that Marcus Rashford is "bang average" and only turned up for 45 minutes last night.
He did score 2 out of 3 England goals last night.
Just imagine how many he would score if he was above "bang average" and turned up for the full 90?!!(y)

If we are going to be pedantic and nit-picking - where was Kane last night?
Is he less than "bang average"?
He didnt score last night did he?
That's a bit confrontational for you roofie. Though I do agree. It did make me smile.

Completely agree. Don't think we have the cutting edge just yet that the likes of France, Spain, Brazil have. And that's why we were so badly exposed by US' athleticism and high press. Although we have a few technically gifted individuals coming thru now eg Foden, Bellingham
To be fair Brazil are 5 to 2 favourites to win the tournament. You would expect them to handle a press better.

It's brilliant to see him back to his best. When on form and confident he is a real threat. Fast, direct and is a massive threat on the counter. His ability to strike a ball is outstanding too. I suspect he was pinging free-kicks in during training and that's the reason he started last night. His free kick was whacked with some pace.

Perception by script means people dont need to tell us when we are "annoyed".
Language portrays feeling by the way it is conveyed and in the way it is used.
With the "English" language - we have many ways to express ourselves.
I hope that provides some clarity.
Many thanks.
From the guy who thought adjectives were verbs and then deleted another massive misplaced diatribe when I pointed it out to you. I’ll pass on your linguistics masterclass.

Good evening. (y)

I rate Rashford.

Putting his performance into context last night, I thought he was our poorest player 1st half. 2nd half he got his two goals, but I thought their keeper was poor for both goals.

He took two steps to his right just as Rashford was about to hit it, and probably would have been able to get a hand on it had he not. He also allowed a pretty tame shot to go in through his legs, although I do accept that Rashford made a brilliant run in behind leading up to the goal, and used a nice bit of skill to cut inside onto his left foot.

I thought Foden looked fantastic playing wide left and he got himself a goal. That will do his confidence the world of good so he needs to stay in the team now in my opinion, with Saka coming back in to play on the right. Rashford should be the first player on if we're needing a goal though.

Id play Rashford up top and rest/drop Kane for a match, he’s clearly not 100%, should leave him out and give him the opportunity to recover for if we go through as he’s not not really offering much at the moment and would rather have Saka on the right and Foden on the left.

Senegal like to throw everyone forward saka and Rashfords pace with Foden feeding them will cause them a lot of bother.

He's on 3 assists for the tournament, his cross for our second goal last night was brilliant.

I wouldn't be completely against that idea but no chance Southgate would take such a risk. He'd be crucified by the media if it went wrong and we lost the game.

Last night was the game to rest Kane. We still would have beaten Wales comfortably with Kane on the bench.

I know he wouldnt take the risk but I think he should, and yes it should of been last night instead.

I'd play the same team as yesterday against Senegal. Be interesting if Saka gets his place back and if he drops either Rashford or Foden. Both did well against an admittedly poor Wales side. Definitely want Foden to keep his place. Wonder if Henderson will keep his place too. Seems Southgate prefers the two holding type players and is more comfortable with this formation. Think Mount will struggle to get back in.

I’m not saying he hasn’t been good but he’s not moving right, and looks like he’s running in treacle, he hasn’t been right since he got that knock against Iran. If we want to go far in this tournament we need Kane at his best, he’s not quite there at the moment and a game off to me is a necessity.
