RACISM AT PORTSMOUTH FC - U18S

Tough call to make. Maybe the easiest thing to do would be to terminate their contracts.. but does that fix the issue? Does the club have a responsibility to root out the origins of this sort of behaviour, take ownership of it and provide training and education to prevent it from happening again?

What I find particularly distrurbing is that the only "Izzy" on the youth team is black, if that's him what the hell is he doing emoji'ing along with it? If this didn't shock him into a verbal response then clearly this isn't the first time his team mates have used language like this.

I think racism gets talked about too much imo I thought we were doing ok previously. You can’t just flick a switch and change society it’s a gradual thing .
If you think racism is talked about too much, then we probably need to talk about it more.
Incidentally, why do you often use the monkey emoji, and it what context?

Christ, do you really believe this statement?
You can’t change people over night and you can’t force it , it’s got to be a natural process . People need to chose to do the right thing and not just do it because they’ve been told to or it’s against the law .

The part I meant was the talking about racism too much.
