I see R-Kades been demolished and wiped off the face of Redcar sea front. My two sons spent hours at the skate park in their teens and came home with all kinds of lumps, bumps and bruises.
It was a safe enough place for the kids to go, but there was always the time I would be press ganged into taking a crowd of them and have to sit and watch in the cold.
In my youth it was a small fair ground with the waltzers being the made ride.
The area is going to be turned into a hotel and an 18 hole crazy golf course.
What are your memories of R-Kade.

End of an era as last of Redcar's skatepark razed to the ground
Town's Coatham area looking very different after the bulldozers moved in to make way for big development plans
