Question Time tonight

The day after the COVID report came out and the Labour MP, Alison McGovern, has done absolutely nothing to challenge the two tories on the panel. Is this really the best they can offer? Some of her answers have been cringeworthy.

I can’t believe I’m going to come away from this debate and actually think the Conservatives have come out better than Labour. This is from someone who has voted Labour at every given opportunity.

Couldn’t even give a clear answer on the transphobia question. Disappointing.

What was the tory answer to the transphobia question?

She basically acknowledged what was said and believed that it should be allowed to be said. Not that I agree with that, but it felt like McGovern was trying to come up with one but never really delivered it, like most of her answers.

She just came across very underprepared.

Just started watching Squid Game tonight, it’s better than I thought it was going to be 👍🏻👍🏻

They are beyond useless I’ve voted Labour all my life as have all my forefathers, I now despise them more than the rats who are now killing this country.

I feel the same.

I live in north west Cambridgeshire constituency. Safe Tory, If only the voters round here would turn on their lazy take your vote for granted incumbent MPs like you lot up north have. I won’t mention Corbyn.

I caught a bit of it and the Labour MP was pretty hopeless but I was struck by the fact that she was pushed far harder for an apology for the Covid crisis than the Tory MP.

She was terrible. The only shadow cabinet minister who seems to try to challenge the Tories is Miliband and he's now coming under attack from Mandelson et al.

Some people are f*cking laughable. You can blame Corbyn, or Starmer, or whoever you like depending on your supposed centre/left/far left status. But the Tories have been in power for over a decade. Austerity. Brexit. Nothing to do with the Labour party, or the Lib Dems, Greens or whomever

We are 'run' by Johnson, Patel, Raab etc. The state this country is in has f*ck all to do with Long Bailey

Wake the f*ck up. Or maybe you prefer to simply excuse this shower?

Oh dear me. Despise them? Really? More than the tories?

If magic is being honest and not just a shill he really needs to pay closer attention to who is to blame for where the country finds itself.

This. And what Corcaigh said.

I'm getting a bit sick of people blaming labour for the worst government we've ever seen. Criticise them by all means, god knows they need to do better. But they aren't responsible for the actions of this government.

I'll tell you who is responsible, people who seem to be looking for any excuse to continue to support the crooks or at least stand by and let them continue running the country into the ground.

Assuming they aren't Tory shills shame on them and everyone else who thinks the same way. This government has inflicted unbelievable misery on people and look like continuing to do so. "Labour aren't perfect" is a pathetic excuse to allow them to continue.

In fact labour can never be perfect because the labour the likes of the centrists want is very different from the labour the Corbynites want. I've seen both types moan "they can't possibly vote for labour" while criticising the government for being as bad as they are. Both sides need to get over themselves.

Maybe the labour shadow minister could've said this last night.
