Coops, do you think May was better than Cameron, out of interest?

In terms of a leader no she was useless... I wanted a general election and it came a year later in 2017. I can safely say I didn’t vote for May

And the bumbling half-wit who has the country hurtling towards a no-deal Brexit originally arrived at his momentous decision whether to back leave or remain on the toss of a coin.

I guess that's the exact definition of a stupid person, a person that makes a major strategic decision based not on logic or knowledge, but to spite people better educated than them.
That didn't make sense to me anyway. They must have already signalled their voting intentions to provoke the response of the remainers.

I did say earlier 'It is one thing to have a good reason for making a decision, but the smart thing to do is to ensure that there are no other consequences that likely outweigh the proposed solution', but not only did you not do that, your proposed 'solution' actually failed on just your own very narrow criteria.

I know you're not actually stupid, but come on, mate, it's not like you've given us much leeway on this subject, is it?

“Had his pants down” 😆 Law 4 alert for me. I can see why no one listened to you on the Brexit front 😆😆

He's shown you up, you can divert all you like. By the way, I'm not a politician, it isn't up to me to explain to anyone. But pretty much every discussion I had, in face or on line, I kept it civil, walked through the logic, asked questions for people to validate their viewpoint. Then when I pointed out the flaws, THEY got abusive. Hey-ho, I'm comfortable with the idea that I can't un-stupid stupid people.

Exactly it is an absolute fallacy that Remain lost because they spoke down to leavers. The facts were laid on the table by remain, plus many possible risk scenarios. Brexit played to patriotism and xenophobia while giving improbable future benefits with no evidence to support them. It was they who ridiculed, 'elites', 'project fear', 'unelected eurocrats', 'traitors' etc. etc. ad nauseum. Lets be honest about this, people got behind brexit because foreigners (be them workers in the UK, or German political people within the EU) were demonised. British exceptionalism was weaponised. Once they got behind it, based on rhetoric, it become difficult to turn people around from emotions with logic.

Sorry, just came back to this after being offline for a couple of hours. Interesting reading. Feelings still running high, clearly, and little wonder. All I'll add for now is that it's interesting seeing people who voted Remain being blamed for the outcome because we could have chosen a less harsh tone when addressing Leavers. It's almost as if we weren't labelled 'Remoaners' and 'Snowflakes' and repeatedly told "You lost, get over it!" Funny old world...

Soon? If it's not better in 19 and a half years it's still not long enough to make a judgement on whether it was worth it, according to some on here.

I think someone on here said a little while after the referendum that in 10 years you'd struggle to find anyone who voted for it. Seeing the beginnings of that now.

Not seen one person on here deny voting Brexit. People have admitted change their minds but no denying. Why would you struggle to find anyone in 10 years

I had hoped that Boris and Cummings had a cunning plan to get us through Brexit without too much economic damage. The coronavirus shambles has made me realise they probably don't have a plan and will just make it up as they go along, like they've been doing for the past 6 months,

Their only plan is to deliver Brexit as quickly as possible for their paymaster, whatever the cost to our country. Whether the Russian Report ever sees the light of day is anyone's guess, but that's what Brexit is really about. Just like Trump, the people at the very head of our government have been bought by Putin's people. Personally, though I often ridicule conspiracy theories, I strongly suspect Cummings is a Russian asset.

Because it's not going to end well.

And you'll note that on this thread its hitherto most vociferous advocates are conspicuous by their absence.

Might be wrong but not seen any vociferous advocates of Brexit for quite while. Can’t remember seeing one leave voter saying the Tories are doing a great job of Brexit but still we get threads like this one with members throwing insults about.

I find these threads pointless. Views are so entrenched now nobody is ever going to be willing to even consider information and evidence that opposes their view. We are less than six months away from the reality of Brexit when the truth will out. God help us for the meltdown on here when either we become the apple of the worlds eye and have no many partners lined up desperate to do business with others we have to order more dance cards or the Armageddon predicted by some does in fact descend upon us. It seems these are the only outcomes possible?

Why they need to advertise to explain to people what they voted for?

Why do we need to prepare for a seemless transition?

Why was the oven ready deal not enacted straight away?

Questions any leave voter should be asking themselves, then after that, ask more questions as very soon all the promises of a post brexit golden age will fade away as fast as the billions that will be spent.

I'm the same with conspiracy theories. I'm not totally sold on the russian asset thing, yet, but the refusal to publish the russian report absolutely stinks and I think we need to know why it has been delayed.
