Private Eye and Teesside freeport

Ben Houchen looks cornered now.

The continued delaying of this report is in itself totally damning in the eyes of the people.

Ironically it's like Post Office justice for subpost masters. Atm he looks guilty until proven innocent.
 
His re-election campaign is going to take a massive hit from this, it's all coming out in perfect time.

Of course some of us have known about him for years....
 
I'm hoping that, off the back of the Sub-Postmasters scandal, more and more of the government shenanigans come flooding into the public domain ......but doesn't need an ITV Docu/drama to make the general public aware.

Also like to see Labour start to aggressively look for prosecutions if they get in......but how high up the establishment chain does this all go? Sadly I think they will go light touch, get a couple of junior civil servants nailed.

Listened to this this morning and so clearly lays out what has been difficult to explain to people about why this is rotten. A couple of businessmen making an absolute mint off the back of taxpayer investment, while Houchen waves his arms saying 'nothing to see here'.

Houtchen seems to have lied and lied his way through all this. Or is he going to persist with his assertion that he is merely 'naive' and that two businessmen sharks have run rings around him? Will this be enough for him to avoid prison?
