Prince Charles

I have no problem with him going to see him in hospital but why is he allowed when us rabble aren’t? Seems a double standard

You can visit a patient who's dying, it's not one rule for them at all.

From James Cook's website:

"Visiting will only be permitted in the following circumstances:

  • For patients who are receiving end-of-life care (one visitor per patient)
...."

People looking to be outraged over a man visiting his dying father is pathetic.
It's really ***ed me off this thread, wish I'd not read it as it's killed what was a great mood for me.

You may also leave home to visit someone who is dying or someone in a care home (if permitted under care home guidance), hospice, or hospital, or to accompany them to a medical appointment.

If he’s dying fair enough. Suggestion has been it’s purely precautionary and he was able to walk into the hospital unassisted

I can’t believe anyone would have a problem with this whether he is failing or not. The fact it is a private hospital will help reduce risks and transmission. Charles has had his first dose too. I hope Phil can make it to his century, he has been a fantastic rock to our Queen over the years.

spot on, lots of 'normal' people have been denied the opportunity of seeing their parents in hospital, but these lot get what they want, when they want it.
You can still visit someone if they are on end of life care, imagine that is probably the case here. Sure visiting your severely ill father must be classed as essential though
