Preston v Sunderland.

I know I'm talking through boro tainted glasses, but genuinely feel sunderland are a very very ordinary team getting carried along with some fortunate run of the ball at the minute,, hopefully to end soon 🤞🏻
Sunderland are very ordinary in my opinion also.
I will say they do have a good shape without the ball and get tight and go man for man.

Having watched all the teams now a couple of times, this is the weakest I have seen the championship for many a year.

Sunderland look poor and easy to get behind. Preston have had a number of opportunities at the back post and should have done better. Moore made a good save from Riis towards the end.

I am sure Sunderland have players missing (Bellingham band) but Watson, who is scoring regularly for the U21s and will go on to have a good career, looks out of sorts with the step up. Aaron Connolly is p1ss poor leading the line.

Coburn on.

Be interesting to see how he does.

Kind of want Leeds to equalise just to keep us 7th, but that's very short term thinking.

I agree mate, but the spawney barstools have a habit of grinding out wins, I'm sure once they hit a bad patch and lose a bit of confidence they will drop like a stone.

Final pass was ****, but that was nearly a superb run and assist from Coburn.
Made up the ground really quickly. Great to see. He walks back in this team soon as he's fully fit to start. Offers much more than langstaff who looks a bit lost at this level

Blackburn have lost.

One of Burnley and West Brom are dropping points.

Obviously at least one of Leeds and Millwall are dropping points here.

On top of Norwich and Watford losing yesterday, it's been a really good midweek for us in terms of results.

c'mon Cardiiff. The Welsh Blues are us last season. Opening with no win in first 7 ( 1 draw for them ) then unbeaten in last 6 ( Ok , we won 6 , 4 for Cardiff ) don't want Luton thinking they are all that when they visit in 3 days

Greenwood played well in the first half and it was only O'Nien putting his body on the line that he didn't have a goal. Greenwood didn't see much of the ball in the second.
