Its a mandatory exercise that the manager has to do, so they all go and give lip service to the same old questions.

They are coached into answering as best as they can.

But lets not kid ourselves they aren't going to open up and divulge their biggest fears for the season, or concerns over players abilities etc.

So lets not expect anything more than we know they are.

Maybe we need to change them tho

Ellis Simms has been awful for them, and Hadji Wright hasn't been much better, 1 goal between two of them which is worse than Latte Lath. Losing your best players can be a real reset for your team. In fact Godden is the man who has filled Gyokeres's shoes so far, he knows the system they play, has relationships and understanding with all the other players. It takes time for new players to bed in.

Still, they beat us.

I really like Carrick and his calm attitude - but the questions and answers are pretty much identical every week.

Errr… you worked with Alex Ferguson.. and you’ve spoken to him.. he was a good manager.. erm.. have you spoken to Alex Ferguson.. he was good.. do you do what he does.. why don’t you just do what he did.. he used to shout didn’t he.. do you shout.. when was the last time you shouted.. did sir Alex tell you to shout..

total cringe and an embarrassment to think that someone had that on a bit of paper and then those words came out of their mouths!

What is the Egg list would have been a more sensible question.. also a barrage of questions regarding Reggie Cannon..

Why bother?

I’d be minded to send Woodgate out or Danksy.. see if one of the players fancied it!

To be fair carrick must be a journos nightmare.

I know Mogga was great to work with, he'd go out of his way to give them extra stuff and chipped in with the occasional pizza for them too.

Apparently WGS was horrendous - reduced Dawn Thewlis (I think her name is, from TTTV) to tears at one presser.
