Possible new set piece routines?

I don't think the holding hands was necessary - I'm sure they could have went round in cirlce without it .. unless, they just wanted to hold hands of course and used the corner as an excuse ..

But the free kick was alright - could have worked out for them

Whilst I'm not suggesting we copy this straight up, the lack of innovation in set plays in football always baffles me. Whilst they're not as common as other sports, innovation here could really give one team an advantage.

I guess the effect wears off after the first time (or not, depending how effective it is) but there must be loads of options you could try?

Pulis doesn't get enough credit for this in his time at Stoke imo. Seem to remember the Arsenal keeper actually cried they were put under so much pressure from Delap's long throws?

Thare's not huge scope for innovation though, anything too intricate is very likely to fail. Fundamentally you're relying on good delivery and our players finding space or being stronger than their marker.

I think it was just intended as a distraction as much as anything
