Just a thought, perhaps the police wouldn't need the support of the armed forces if they were bigger in number and hadn't been criminally depleted during the course of this governments tenure?
You see, if there were 20,000 or so more police officers they could very likely have a far greater presence on the streets, offer g friendly advice and if necessary stern words and fines to idiots that think they're above the law.
However, once they started stripping the police force to the bone without any consideration for the consequences they got us into this position. Higher crime, no deterrents to criminals and being far, far too short in numbers when a global crisis like this emerges.
Just another huge failure of this government to add to the already long list.
