Pears will be a mistake.

How much did we let him go for. We have probably paid more to secure Bettinelli's loan deal. Then next season we need a new keeper and have to dig into our shallow pockets again. Doesn't seem like the best of business to me. Obviously his contract situation had a lot to do with it.

The wanted to keep him, but weren't willing to offer the contract he wanted is how this has played out I think.

He was always tipped to make the grade as he came through the academy, but his size could be the thing that holds him back.

Always disappointing to see local lads leave, but I hope he goes on to have a very successful career.

World class?? You been reading the gazette much? The Brooks one he was only a few yards from it he could have taken a step to the left and caught it completely hollywood. Then one was blasted straight at him just hit him. The save from Lerma at the end was the best but even that was fairly routine for me. Are you forgetting how he took an age to get down for the goal and flapped a corner out of play under no pressure leading up to it and the amount of times the ball trickles past him near post. Hes sh!te
If you think that Pears is a better keep than Bettinelli then it tells me everything you know about this beautiful game.

Well you think Bettenelli made world class saves against Bournemouth which shows you know nothing about goalkeeping. Pears kept a decent amount of clean sheets last season in a struggling team and had games where he made good saves to do it. Bettenelli on the other hand has been overrated then lost his place to a younger keeper for Fulham been distinctly average then come to us and has basically conceded every shot hes had to face. Hes barely had a thing to do in all 5 games and still managed to make poor errors you wouldnt expect in Sunday league.

I think he will be as good as his dad was (both written off early days because 'not commanding enough'), but the competition is tougher now with cheap imports.

He must have remembered where it was today then. Hes still sh!t. I couldn't really watch it due to slow internet in the hotel. I seen one shot from about 35 yards that looked like it had the beating of him in 1st half cos he went down like he had wooden legs again.

In general I meant as I said I couldnt really watch it today he will have to do alot to convince me he was worth giving a good academy player away for. They had one shot on target so I'm not sure why hes being bigged up maybe wait until his performance has gained us points if it ever happens. Hes lucky hes got a good defence in front of him at the moment.
