He was trying to impress and show his work rate and trying to win the ball. Probably over zealous in his tackle but trying to impress a manager that never really gave him a chance.

His goal at cardiff showed he had ability and a coolness we dont have in midfield. Hes better than mcgree for me.

I never thought about this angle of Payero going out on loan - Maybe it's the plan. Send him to Boca, let him get 15 games under his belt, build up some confidence, and bring him back in October.

Ends in October, then it's the World Cup, but they have a round robin cup competition from February to May, the Copa de la Liga Profesional, which will be a minimum of 14 matches for Boca Juniors.
