Payero gone

Seen people say it's unfortunate of the form of the midfield three last season resulting in minimal game time. If he was good enough he'd have been playing.
We took the opportunity to cash in on a £3m player who wasn't playing.
In what way are we cashing in? Reports are that there's no loan fee.

Is it just me or did he look quite round of face compared to when we last saw him, in the photos published today?

The two-footed tackle at QPR really signed his exit card, and right in front of the boss.
100% he'd just had a decent run out at old Trafford, and you felt he was finally gonna get his chance as Crooks form was dropping off and facing ban. It was a stupid tackle, in every sense.

He was trying to impress and show his work rate and trying to win the ball. Probably over zealous in his tackle but trying to impress a manager that never really gave him a chance.

His goal at cardiff showed he had ability and a coolness we dont have in midfield. Hes better than mcgree for me.
You have no evidence to support this view apart from a late goal at a poor Cardiff side when the game was over....

Best of luck to him. Whatever the reasons hes left it has not worked out ... what pecentage is homesick and not applying or simply not fitted into the pace is open to debate ... I am happy its been sorted as I dislike CW having to lie about an injury to mask his situation ... we have had enough of people in power treating people like idiots and disrespecting them by bluffing and lying .... dont like it and dont respect it ...

Honestly thought he could have done better than signing for a junior team,at least he should impress for them.
Si Signor

So Payero has 2 years left on his contract. Is it utterly unrealistic to hope he goes and smashes it like Spence and both the club and him have a positive exit?

The person who decided he was worth blowing our budget on last summer should quickly follow him out of the door

An opinion piece by Craig Johns in the Gazette yesterday suggested reports of the fee we paid for him were greatly exaggerated. With heavy performance related bonus clauses which likely now won't come to fruition.

I get what you’re saying about Herold Goulon.. but Payero came up with the goods before he arrived, when he played he performed for us and now he’s gone on loan to Boca Juniors. He’s not drifting off into the lower leagues.
He didn't perform for us when he played that's the whole point. The game passed him by and opposition midfielders just ran past him....

That’s utter rubbish you talk like he was playing in week in week out.

A total of 562 mins of league football he played many as a token sub.

No one knows how good or bad he was as he never played enough games to tell.

Boca are no fools that’s all I’ll say.

I'm just going on what I saw, as you know I am a respected scout and Martin Payero wasn't a name that found its way into the famous 📖✍️
