Paddy McNair

I'm sure he'll still have a big part to play this season. One injury away from the first team. And he'll have benefitted from a rest.
 
I’ve always thought he was pretty dreadful. Slow in possession, weak in the tackle, not quite a midfielder, not quite a defender.

I like the guy. I'm probably much more of a fan of his than the average Boro supporter, and I think he can still offer us something.

But there's no way whatsoever that any Championship bench warmer goes for the £4.5m mentioned above. Look at Mowatt for a more realistic view of what happens when a Championship club tries to offload a relatively high earner who can't start a game.

He is in the squad and not good enough to get into the side, for Carrick and for most fans.

Who do you see dropping out of the team to accommodate him?

Small fee and wages gone or perhaps used as part of an exchange might suit us best
 
He has no book value, with his fee having been amortised fully.
Any fee would be pure profit from a business sense.

He is Rangers daft and would walk up to Ibrox.

I get the impression he wants to play in midfield.. perhaps there’s a team that can accommodate that?
 
I'd be very impressed if we managed to do a swap deal with Luongo, considering he'll be out of contract and not our player.
