Over 26,000 tickets sold for millwall

We normally sell 1600 for Millwall - OK 500 will be London/Southern based - half with posh Teesside accents.

I don't think there is a train strike tommorow.

1,000 would be acceptable as reasonable for Millwall, some seasons they have brought only 400.

Not all Millwall support is from SE London - there is one fan in Saltburn!
I would say we take 1800 to 2000 to Millwall typically.
It dipped to 1500 last time due to train strikes.

It will be interesting, if the 1997 Charlton opening game total is broken today - that was 29,400 and something.

First game of season innit. Back to 26k on a cold famp midweek game in november.

I'd love to know the logic behind stopping online sales 2 hours before kick. Surely must reduce on the day sales.

That will be superb too. Crowds got down to less than half that 10 years ago with cheaper walk ups.

However, I don't want to indulge in any triumphalism over the gate.

However we do have to ask if the club isn't in better touch with the fan base than some of the posters on this forum.
