I can't see any free agents coming in and improving our team. We are better sticking with what we have.

Bola and Dijksteel have proved us all wrong in recent weeks, if Browne can get a run in the side and do the same then we need to rewrite history's account of the Woodgate reign and salute village as the bargain-transfer visionary he clearly was back in summer 2019.

They are maybe behind the scenes trying to convert Browne into a forward. You'd think he has some attributes especially as he's quick. He wouldn't be the first player to suddenly burst on the scene in a new roll and do well.

Interesting Warnock was saying they've been working heavily on Roberts finishing this week as he 'snatches' a lot. So the do work on specific thingsb and maybe they are heavily working on Browne but just don't think he's quite ready.

I think its getting near to a case he's gonna have to be.

You can say what you like about Wing but we've taken 7 goals out of a none scoring side.
It's a bit more complicated than that. Yes he has scored 7, but he doesn't create many, gives the ball away a lot, which stops us creating as a team, then his poor defensive work will cost us goals too.

I'm not saying he deserves to start but that 7 goals needs replacing by someone. I don't see 7 goals all season from the current 3 (I would include Tav in that).

It's alright bombing out for another goal scoring CM. That said he's clearly gone the way of Coulson and simply not fancied by Warnock.
Tav career: 7 goals in 38 starts....

Maybe. Certainly Wood is probably as good any free agent centre back we can pick up. The squad is so thin though. I know you should always try and improve on what you have but I'm uneasy with Browne being our back up striker (if that's even how Warnock sees it).

Funds are an issue and you're unlikely to pick up a goalscorer from a free agent list, but someone with a bit of know how who can at least lead the line and give the midfield someone to play-off would do as back up. Uninspiring maybe but a Chris Killen type signing who'll cost nowt but can come in and do a job if disaster strikes.

Surely the answer is to send Woodgate out to identity players to bring in!

THE TWENTY ONE COMMITTEE has decided. Compelling arguments have been made in favour of a wide range of strikers from across the globe. After an impressive powerpoint presentation Oumar Niasse was found to be the outstanding candidate.
CONGRATULATIONS THE BOARD APPROVES

Jesus.... Slim pickings😂

It's literally a who's who of perma crocks and none scoring forwards the wrong side of 30. We've come a long way since Viduka and Boksic😉

It's where we are both in terms of timescale (after the window has shut) and in terms of finances. I looks like there are a few players out there that have been on the fringe of a higher league or players that due to fitness or personal problems have not yet found a club.

Both through December and towards the latter stage of the season goal scoring will be vital. We need to find a way to make that happen whether we bring in Free Agent strikers now, we find goals from elsewhere.. or do we just batten the hatches and hope and pray until January?

Niasse is probably the player Warnock wants most and could do a job for us. He’s the most typical Warnock striker still available.

He’s never been prolific but you have to admire his work rate and attitude, read up about his treatment at Everton and in any other industry Koeman probably would of been done for bullying. He even took his locker away from him whilst he was still at the club and made him eat with the youth team.

Yes seen a few clips of Niasse and he appeares to put himself about. I'm not sure how fit he will be or last time he played?

It sounds like wages are the issue with whoever we are after. That or other clubs maybe interested as Warnock said he's waiting to find out if we can get whoever it is.

One things for sure we can't ask Akpom to play that role week in week out.

6 votes from random people doesn't fill me with confidence Newy , unless the 6 are Warnock and 5 of his associates .
Nathan Wood - the new Hickton , until January ? Or , Browne up top .

The 21 Committee are fully behind the collective decision. If Nathan Wood is the new Hickton then maybe we need another central defender. Jozo Simunovic is still about.. should we take it to the committee?
