Pardon my ignorance but surely we have a prospect at least in the academy ? Needs must when we were down to bare bones .

Graeme Kavanagh's lad. Think he's only about 16 though. If push comes to shove then we have O'Neil and think Burrell is still around.

Id take Nugent, proper pro, good character and wouldnt cost much

and most of all, beggars cant be choosers
Nugent isn't a free agent so we couldn't sign him until January anyway. Plus with the amount of games we have coming up we need someone able to start and play 90 minutes.

Next 2 games are away to Bristol C and Cardiff . Then we have 2 at home v Coventry and Forest . Probably worth a look from them lads in latter 2 ?
No pressure from crowd as well which is a plus

Isn't thingy being used as a striker. Marcus Browne that's it.
Or we could play howson up front as he's decent in every position other than midfield.

we could go 'split strikers' a la southgate

--------------Bettinelli----------------
Dijksteel------Fry--Hall------McNair
Howson--Morsy--Saville--Johnson
-----------Roberts--Browne---------

Danny Welbeck signs for BRIGHTON on a one year deal.

I can't see us going back for Sanogo and I don't think we will go for Balotelli (even though he ticks every box for being a boro signing)

Gascoigne, Mendieta, Boksic.. Balotelli?

Oumar Niasse had previous with Warnock but the comment about players still being free agents made me thing it is going to be a player that has been released much sooner. The last minute chase for Bolasie would suggest we're looking for someone who can play on the left also..
Fabio Borini would fit the bill and he lived in the north east for three seasons with Sunderland. Might be a decent shout.

Let’s lure Crouch out of retirement.

Still a threat in the air.

Won’t have lost his touch.

Great character.

Won’t have put any weight on.

Never had any pace to begin with.

Get the lot of them in! two month contract, £2k a week, £2k appearance fee, £2k goal/assist bonus.

Plenty of squad numbers still available 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 23, 26

Surely Red32 can stump up the basic wages to cover it. Tie it up with some online Jogo do Bicho deelio

Neil Warnock on Oumar Niasse previously.
"It's nice to know that he's available for selection," added the Gaffer. "I did my homework with him and got good reports of how he'd fit in with me from [Phil] Jagielka. He told me he's my kind of player, and will do well for us with the way that he plays.
