Gotta be one of the younger ones worth spinning the wheel on.. there must be another Jamie Vardy or Lewis Wing knocking about, just been released maybe even playing in the wrong position..

Jamie Vardy or Lewis Wing. Very strange combination. Vardy a proven premier striker. Wing a First division at best mid fielder.

Jamie Vardy being the best example of a lower league footballer jumping the ranks and cutting the mustard at the highest level, and our very own Lewis Wing who went from non league midfielder to belting out 40 games in the champ and smashing 7 goals in to boot! He's went through a rough patch recently (and not played the past few matches) at his best he is phenomenal.

Lay a £6m 6'3 international striker down and see what his contribution was over four seasons before we start picking Lewis Wing's game apart. Also I'd like to see what the other champo midfielders were doing in the 19/20 season and how our local lad plucked from shildon fares against the more established bunch.

"at his best he is phenomenal" I must of missed the game when he was phenomenal. He has scored the odd good goal but has done little else.

reckon we'll need 4 players to fill the gaps-- right now the gaps are as large as the grand friggin canyon

Wages being the obvious hinderance, with question marks over those who have failed to find a club yet..

CB - Jozo Simunovic £13k
RW - Nathaniel Mendez-Laing £18.5k
LW - Fabio Borini £44k
ST - Mario Balotelli £17.5k

The whole team scored 48 goals last season and we stayed up by a cats whisker. 15% of our goals coming from Lewis Wing is pretty phenomenal for me.

RELEGATION (23rd one place below Wigan)

*you could argue the McNair penalty kept us in it which was scored after Wing's goal.. but I haven't taken into consideration the effect of any assists, interceptions etc. Goals only we go down without him.

Pardon my ignorance but surely we have a prospect at least in the academy ? Needs must when we were down to bare bones .
I think our best youth strikers might be a little too young. Walker is out on loan, so that's not gonna happen. O'Neil is limited will never be a player at this level.

Kavanagh and Coburn look good but are only just 16 and 17. Balde maybe? although he plays more out wide. Burrell would be the most likely

You can say what you like about Wing but we've taken 7 goals out of a none scoring side. He may look tired and trundle about but he's got a shot on him and always looks forward (well until woody moved him back😒)

I'm not saying he deserves to start but that 7 goals needs replacing by someone. I don't see 7 goals all season from the current 3 (I would include Tav in that).

It's alright bombing out for another goal scoring CM. That said he's clearly gone the way of Coulson and simply not fancied by Warnock.

When you think of how crucial those goals were from Wing. Winner against Stoke and the two to get a point at Wigan. There must be room for him on the bench at least. Saville certainly ain't gonna get you any goals!

maybe Browne can be converted into a CF
What have we to lose ?
We don't have many other options , maybe it's in front of us and we haven't Seen it yet chewy , tricky ,strong , Pace . Give him a go up top and see what happens .
