Back by popular demand (one person asked, but I'll take it ) our 8 game relative form even though we've only played 6 games.

Now we've played 8 matches our form is looking better and better.

Ten games in and we are on an upward curve thanks to Neil "try and beat us then" Warnock.

Another solid away performance and we are still running along at 2 pts per game.

Update after a game of two penalties.

After 14 games our form has levelled off and we are bang on 1.5 pts per game.

After a really good 3 points we're heading back towards the magical 2 pts per game form.

Nobody achieved the magical 2 points per game, wonder if that's happened before after 15 games, seems like the championship is going to be tighter than ever this season.

I’d expect the teams with the bigger squads to be able to make the most use of the five subs to hit form in the 2nd half of the season.

I don’t see how you can expect small squads to play twice a week, throw in COVID absences and it’s going to hit some maybe all squads hard after Christmas (fatigue not Covid)

Boro would have to win the next 6 games on the bounce to get to 2 points per game. Winning and losing is part and parcel of the Championship this season. There is no outstanding team - so far anyway - so just staying in contention until reinforcements are available is important.

In all seriousness though, that relative form table is really revealing and I'd say if we could just be a bit more potent in front of goal then we'd be blob on for top two.

Bit of a setback today, but still in the mix if we can sort out our scoring problems. Looks like Watmore might be needed more than that extra midfielder.
