One of the main issues that will keep us in mid-table

Is the glaring lack of pace in our squad, especially when there's no Jones or Latte Lath. We must address this in the summer if we're to get anywhere near promotion IMO, though sadly I fear we won't. We are far too easy to set up against and have to have that extra dimension or we'll be forever treading water unfortunately.

Well you make a fair point today, however there is pace in our squad. If we finish mid table or will be because of injuries, not lack of pace lath and jones have plenty, they are just injured.

Pedantry at its absolute best. 😁

jones and lath are big misses so great to see Silvera getting on the pitch. Even though I think Silvera has done ok, he still needs a lot of time on the coaching couch

Bangura also has pace, also crocked.

I agree, pace is a priority in the summer shopping. I do feel, though, with a fit Coburn leading the line, we’ll be playing much further up the pitch, which means our passers can be more effective.

Pace at the back, though, is frighteningly absent

100 per cent agree with you Scuba
So frustrating.
Even Dysteal would give up something pace wise

The reason we won't make the playoffs is cause when we do create chances we don't have a lot of natural finishers (Forss is okay). I don't think we are that different from last season in terms of chances created but we were unbelievably clinical last season.

I did say today he should have brought Dijksteel on when Ayling for booked. That changed the game. Ayling wouldn't go near him after that. Plus Silvera was way off the pace which didn't help.

It’s the lack of pace we put on the ball at times. Too often at home this season our passing has been laboured. The first half today was another example where we were too slow moving it. Howson in particular was at fault.

Second half our passing was much better and Boro bossed it until they score out of nowhere.

Coburn had pace running the channels early in the season. Now he is struggling to move. If he needs an op, dont wait for the NHS, pay to go private!

I am fed up of repeating myself here. We score as often this season as last.

Conceding cheap goals has been more costly to us this season than anything else. You can’t win if you can’t keep a clean sheet consistently. Injuries haven’t helped.
