That wasn't what I said though, you are misrepresenting what I said.
I'm not happy wearing a mask, I have asthma and F***ing hate it, but I try to listen to the advice from the scientists and if they are correct then my mask wearing may prevent someone else from catching an illness that may kill them.
If in 18 months time the scientists come out and say they were wrong and mask wearing made no difference has it really had a negative impact on my life... no it hasn't really.
My point which I assumed was obvious from my post is that most of us can still continue with a pretty normal life. I can go to the pub, visit family, go the cinema, shops etc. The current restrictions aren't really restricting anything.
I've been to the types of places I mentioned above recently and its clear that a large percentage of people are refusing to wear masks now so where are they being restricted? If they are anti vaccination all they have to do is provide a negative test status to enter certain places, is that a great hardship to keep others safe? Hell, they could even fake a lateral flow test if they are that precious about not being 'controlled' by the government.
Of course things may get worse with restrictions but we've had it pretty good the last 6 months or so, clearly better than most countries in terms of our freedom.
