Oasis reunion looking highly likely

There is obviously a huge latent demand and if the two brothers are up for it then it should happen.

I liked the first album but that's about it. Still love Cigarettes & Alcohol.
I'm not interested in going now and paying over a ton to go.
But I still think it would be a natural thing to happen and hope its great for those who it does mean something to.

I’ve seen them twice though they were past their peak by then. Think it must’ve been around 2001/02 at Murrayfield in Edinburgh and again in around 2006/07 at Manchester City.

I enjoyed both shows but the first one was spoilt by loads of tw*ts lobbing bottles of p*ss around, chucking full cans and bottles, crushing the crowd by surging forwards, there was people dropping like flies for the first half hour so. It was not pleasant. I was quite young and naive and realised loads of d*ck heads are about and can’t help but behave like d*ck heads.

Happy Mondays supported them so I was very pleased I got to see them. And Doves were on first.

The second time, in Manchester, really annoyed me because they ended on a Who song. All that stuff the crowd love(d) from the first two albums - and The Masterplan, a forgotten and/or overlooked gem IMO - and you end on a sub-standard Who song? Nah, not for me that.

I wouldn’t go and see them again. I went to see Liam Gallagher at Ally Pally a few years back and that was great. But I wouldn’t see Oasis again. It’s been and gone for me now.

You would think these shows will sell out in minutes. May even be broadcast on the BBC. Surely they’d do Knebworth, Manchester and Wembley.

Definitely not him.

I'd guess Chris Sharrock or Zak Starkey. Bonehead on bass as I don't even think Andy Bell would be interested, and Guigsy certainly wouldn't.
I'd guess Alan White
MaCarroll and Bonehead have had health issues in the past couple of years
But let's be honest it would be Liam and Noel plus 3 in the media anyway

I was at that Murrayfield show but it was summer 2000. They stopped serving alcohol at some point, so me and 3 mates shared the tiniest of joints that one of them happened to have in their pocket. It was the size of a cocktail stick. :ROFLMAO:

Mondays were good, saw them a few times around that period. They also played Stockton Riverside Festival in the 00s.

Oasis gigs are like Kasabian and Stone Roses gigs though. Lots of laddish behaviour and not very many women. I was ok with that 20 years ago but its partly why I'd like to see them elsewhere now. Its not as if they are only popular amongst 40 somethings either. There are loads of modern teenage Liam fans who'd be desperate to see them reform.

Didn't think there was ever an issue between Liam and Tony?

If you're meaning Noel, when did this happen?
I think (from memory) Liam hit him at the last gig he did. But met him a couple of years back. MacCarroll approached him and they reconciled. Bonehead expressed regret at how he'd been treated by the group
But yes Noel always slagged him off

I've seen them once, and that was at The Arena on their first ever tour as co-headliners with Whiteout. I wasn't blown away by them, but some of the songs have become so interlinked with events in my life that still listen to the odd song now and again and whilst they have some stinkers they have some real top drawer songs too.

I saw NGHFFB when they played Oakland, CA a couple of years and they were OK, but I went more because I'd never been to the venue than because of any great love of Noel's solo stuff.

If they played Knebworth I'd probably try and get tickets as it's literally round the corner from me, although having said that having seen the state of some of the crowd who went to see Liam when he played there I figure I'd stand out somewhat due to not owning a pair of Adidas sneakers, a bucket hat or a calf tattoo.

I'm sure I remember him saying in an interview that he'd never had an issue with Liam and described him as a good lad. You might be right though.

I’m pleased I went to see Liam do his first solo tour because he basically just played the biggest Oasis hits and a few of his own bits casually woven in. He knew why people were there and delivered exactly what they wanted. It was great.

I think I’m probably just past it now in terms of seeing huge gigs like this one would be. You just can’t go and sit in a seat and watch them. You have to be down at ground level, semi-p*ssed, but I’m just not up for it. I’ve gone off Noel anyway in recent years. So that’s another reason.

I liked them when they were out, I preferred blur tbh.. but they do have more than 10 decent songs. Easy money for Noel.. just need to see if Liam fancies it now he’s had a taste of solo success!

I think they should do a ‘Be Here Now’ - build up all the hype for a best of tour, one last hurrah.. then tour a new album lol

Ah, see I'm still more of a Noel fan. Loved Liam in the mid-90s when he could sing properly and consistently and the arrogance was backed up, but nowadays, although I do take an interest in his music etc, I don't follow him about like I did with Oasis. I still see Noel on every tour, the music he has written has had an enormous influence on my life (and not just Oasis).
